Every time I see a deal like this from sellers, usually SG and Field supply, they're too good to be true. They only have sizes like ex-small, small, or huge like 5xl, 6xl etc. In this particular ad all they have is size SMALL in OD green. NO OTHER SIZES OR COLOR IS AVAILABLE HERE. Sorta false advertising in a way or the old bait and switch kinda scenario. Just not upfront and honest advertising.
SG just puts "Military Surplus" on everything to sell to mall ninjas. It's "Imported" fruit of the loom, not USA Military Issue surplus. I like military surplus because it can be a huge value, well crafted items from quality materials. There is no goretex, no triple stitched seams, no specially treated fabric, no reason to buy this instead of a made in China walmart pocket tee.
Also, I hate to break it to you, but "mil spec" shirts are just cotton and aren't anything special.. At least they were 2001 - 2009 when I was in the service.
That may not necessarily be true. US Gov is allowed to purchase foreign manufactured items for the troops. If you're interested, read FAR Part 25 (Federal Acquisition Regulations, farsite.hill.af.mil)
Not to mention charging you $40 for a 'better price'. Then when you need to buy a gun or ammo, you buy elsewhere because SG is most often higher than others (even with the tiny discount), is OOS, or doesn't carry the ammo you need.
They have to be foreign made. If america ever had to fight another world war it will have to do so naked. We’re already out of some missiles. Sent them all to Ukraine. Will take 3 YEARS to restock so T shirts? Yeah we don’t make those.
