This 5.45x39 ammo has steel cases with Wolf’s proprietary PolyFormance coating. The polymer coating is engineered to facilitate smoother cycling without singeing off inside a rifle’s action. Steel cases do generally accelerate fouling of the action, however, and their relative inelasticity makes them practically impossible to handload. This new production ammo does have noncorrosive primers – you won’t have to treat your rifle with Ballistol after firing Wolf.

This round’s 60 grain bullet is an uncomplicated FMJ: smooth chambering, low fouling, aerodynamic and non-expanding. The bullet’s core is solid lead, but its jacket is primarily made of soft steel with a very thin exterior layer of copper. If your range prohibits magnetic bullets, then they are going to prohibit Wolf’s 5.45x39 ammo.
