Where is the rebate located? Typically Cabelas has notification on website that rebate applies but they do not.

Even better if you're a Cabela's Club member!!! I just got an additional 10% off and free shipping.

Good deal! I just picked up 640 rounds for .23 ppr after the rebate. I used their $20 off 200 and a $30 discounted gift card. Only thing that would have made it better was if I didn't have to pay tax. Not bad at all for 5.56 brass

55 grain 5.56 ay??? Rebate is good up to $200 per household. Once you get $200 in rebates from them, you can not get anymore rebates.

Says $20 off email code, but doesn’t say what that code is! Does anyone know?

Just go to Cabela's website and you will see it on the home page. They will email you your codes.

MIR is $30 not $15, which gets you to $153.70. (plus tax, which brings it up). Great deal none the less!

Has anyone talked to federal about multiple purchases? the rebate is good up to 4k rounds but most people can't buy that much in 1 transaction.

I have. For .223 and 5.56 on the new submission form they removed the 2 submissions per household max. There is a Max of 400 bucks per household. I had confirmed this because I had already made 2 submissions under the original rebate that was ending 31 Aug before they extended it to the end of the year. And I wanted to buy more. She said go for it. Buy as much as you want up to max of 400 in rebates.

They cancel orders after they charge your card and Don't honor advertised prices. Don't make my mistake, buy elsewhere.

Bait and switch retailer. Careful, they will probably cancel your order like they just did to hundreds of us that bought scopes on the black Friday sale. Cabelas is being very unethical.

Is anyone able to get this deal? When I try to check out the price is $186, not $151

This is the one time I hate that there is a Cabela's in in state. Free shipping but had to pay sales tax.

Thanks! Just picked up17 Boxes/340 rounds of 5.56 for 103.xx
Paid using gift cards I purchased for $80 on ebay, making my price per round about 24.5 cents a round. Slick! That's approaching Wolf and Tula Steel Case pricing!

Now all they have is AE223 for the same price.

Nevermind. The picture is of AE223 but says 5.56 55gr FMJ in the description.

Was puzzled by the comments on the crappy condition, so I went out to look at some of the XM193 I already had and it looked normal enough for Federal brown box XM193. Everyone complaining about it would probably S#!t their pants if they saw what the Army gave me in Iraq.

Dang I saw this right after getting back from Cabelas! Nice find.

I'm not sure, but this probably stacks with their $20 credit back after spending $75 they have in-store through Sunday. If the discounts stack, then I could buy 200 rounds PMC M855 62g for .26c per round after tax...or take your pick of a bunch of other deals.

I'd definitely order from Cabela's not PSA. I was sent .223 instead of 5.56 from PSA last free shipping event they had, and I can't prove it because their invoice says 5.56 I guess that is how they recoup shipping. It will probably be my last order from them. Good prices don't make up for incompetence or rip-offs.

Call Cabela's for compensation...

I talked to their customer service today and they had it on record that this batch of ammo was in bad shape. Contrary to those that argue saying XM193 should look like this... that simply is not true. They must have been getting second runs off the floor in the past and just think new XM193 ammo should look like crap.

Cabela's offered me a couple of gift cards and I am perfectly happy with that. I commend them for being so easy to work with. They also offered a refund but I'd have to do the letter of disposal and she said its a pain for them too and was glad I chose the gift cards.

I am still a happy Cabela's customer...

nope. im fine with my batch.

im guessing "on record" means they just noted the complaints from all the gun.deals users who didnt know any better, and joined the panic wagon

unless you post pics of how "tarnished" and "corroded" they are, i still contend that you guys just overreacted. google pics and you will see how awful they can normally look.

notice how people familiar with xm193 are not complaining, only those who have never had experience with it are? i mean, youre the same dude trying to warn others in the Tactical AE223 deal that it could look tarnished, when its not even the same round. you obviously thought XM193 was supposed to look like the AE223 pic they mistakenly have up there (gun.deals really should remove it)

i bought a bulk box of loose federal xm193 from PSA months back and it looks even worse than the ones i got from this deal. i think you guys would have probably had a heart attack over it lol.

i will burn through these in a couple/few trips to the range anyway, and for only 0.26/rd im not complaining

Sorry this is the total prices with shipping costs added/included to it at different weight class to my address. Comes out cheaper even without the cabela's $20 off for orders of $150 or over

Guys, don't feed the ammo hike troll by buying this ammo that's been rotting under water somewhere. Annealing has nothing to do with tarnished copper on the bullet or on the entire portion of the brass casing.

This is a lot of money for sub reject ammunition. Every time you pull the trigger with this stuff, you are throwing a quarter and a nickle down the range. The funny part is that I bet that quarter and nickle looks better than the round you just fired does.

I'm sure this stuff will still fire just fine, even though it is pretty ugly to look at. But you are literally purchasing Federal's garbage that some guy in accounting decided would be a good idea to try and sell to us instead of recycling the components.

Don't let them do that to us. If people keep buying scrap like this, then they will keep selling it at this price. That also means that their higher quality ammunition will remain at the same prices as well.

The beauty of capitalism is that we have the power to change all of this. Ammo manufacturers make tens of thousands of rounds a week. If no one buys it, then it completely wrecks their business model (managers get fired).

Remember, they need us, we don't need them.

We already took the house and senate, so nothing that violates our 2nd amendment rights is going to pass. Now its our time to turn the tables on the ammo gouging practice that we have been victims of for so many years.

Don't feed the trolls

You obviously have no idea what you are talking about. This is what ALL XM193 ammo looks like. The military doesn't care if it is shinny and pretty, it just needs to work and this stuff does.

I've been browsing this website and the comments for deals that catch my interest for a couple years. I just became a member for the very reason of what people are saying about the condition of the xm193. THE CASES ARE ANNEALED! This is a process to pass NATO specs. "Google it"and learn about pressures and case longevity. This is not from tarnish! You may find some dings due to the mass production and handling. This product is not some Super high quality Black Hills or Hornady in a pretty package. If you find dents, real dents, then you have a problem. Use this to plink and practice. Find a 55 grain round for hunting and you will be close to zeroed in after using m193 at .30cents a round. I'm no huge supporter of Cabela's, but I have some sympathy for the poor bastards in customer service who had to deal with phone calls from people who have no idea what NATO xm193 is.

I think a lot of people here, including myself, know how the annealing process makes brass look. I buy nothing but Federal Nato rounds for my 5.56 rifles, with exception of Freedom Munitions reloads, and trust me when i say this brass 'looks' sub par to first run Federal. Its not normal discoloration from annealing.

Then I guess I stand corrected. Apologies. But the smq14f813s330 that I received last week from cabelas when they had the 10 bucks off 50 dollar purchase are in normal m193 condition. As are all the federal american eagle rounds in 5.56 that I have ordered. Now I had to go and open up several boxes that were conveniently wrapped in bubble wrap and sealed, just to make sure I was being fair about my recent purchases condition. Yup, it's just like any other xm193, I guess the jokes on me.

Condition report: At first I did think these looked like reloads and was a little pissy about it. Then realized that's what the American Eagle brand has always looked like when i used to buy it from Dunham's, Bass Pro or my local shop. A little tarnished and dinged. No corrosion or pushed in rounds though. After all these pretty much are military rejects boxed up and sold to civi's. The worst of the tarnished was actually the AE xm855s i ordered and not the xm193s. I think i have just been spoiled by Freedom Munitions and first run Federal xm193 and xm855 but theyll still shoot well. xm855 - smq14g813s374 xm193 - smq14g813s386 and smq14h813s292 Can we post pics somewhere to compare conditions?
