CTD needs to go away, and the asshole that posted this deal needs to go away as well......

I've posted a few deals trying to give back and be a part of the community, but I'm having second thoughts now. Guess I'll go back to lurking. Such vitriol for posting what appears to be a decent deal, and for asking questions in uncalled-for... and not something I would expect from a group that purports to support the Bill of Rights. Inform/Educate people, don't bash and censor posts ("Expire this deal" = censorship), or do you only support the Articles when they support your arguments/beliefs?

I don't understand the hate either.
I'd expect to find these people boycotting walmart too.

Because walmart went anti second ammendment when sandyhook took place and haulted sales of rifles? O wait no that was just ctd...

I take it that you're not familiar with CTD's history during the last Panic and how they were gouging people by immediately doubling, tripling, or worse on prices. They showed their true colors in charging ridiculous amounts. Many people are now protesting their existence by voting down all ads for their store and not buying from them. Many people equate them to bottom feeding trash.

CTD is no friend of gun owners.

Now you know.

If you like screwing paintguy's hippo of a mom, please keep that to yourself.

I can understand how some may have mixed feelings about CTD.But on the same token, when a good deal is to be had I will take full advantage when possible.I am not gonna be one of the ones sitting at home with a bruised ego.My cache of ammo only gets bigger when this type of behavior exist.Call me what you want. But you will never be able to call me unprepared..

4 votes

So your idea of being prepared involves dirty russian ammo with no consitancy that is only good for plinking out to about 200 yards? If this is your shtf ammo i hope you have ALOT of gun cleaning supplies packed with it lol

With a custom made walk-in gunsafe with over 300 firearms and enough ammo to make your daily driver drag the pavement.I would have to say I am prepared.Yes, this is dirty ammo but not my only ammo.If the need arises to spray 200 rds. of this ammo,I dont think the advancing threat will be judging me on my choice of ammo..lol

After reading these comments , I went googling...

http://www.guns.com/2012/12/28/cheaper-than-dirt-stays-in-the-gun-game/...

Interesting. Makes a strong case not to buy from CTD. That's all I wanted was info. Informed decisions are better then simple "don't buy from x" statements. I wasn't around here in 2012 unfortunately so I don't always have the back story without asking or digging.

I've never bought anything from CTD and don't ever plan on it. During the panic they said they had 22LR ammo in stock for $199/brick and called it a "sale" I had to see what their "regular" prices are. That just says they like fucking people over and don't care if their customers come back to do business with them in the future.

Just curious why all the CTD hate? I've only bought from them a couple times. Shipping from multiple warehouses sucks. But seems like it goes beyond that. Is it something like Aero did?

This is why....

December 2012 - Used Mil-Spec 30rd AR Mag....... $99.97

http://www.gunssavelife.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/gougemasters.jpg...

December 2012 - AR Beta Mag......... Our 'LOW' Price...... 499.97

http://www.guns.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/Cheaper-than-Dirt-1.jpg...

Of course you also had the 1000.00 dollars for a case of .223....the 70 dollar Pmags, the 80 dollar 10 round AR mags...etc....etc...etc

They are price gougers at the highest level. They have recently lowered their prices due to
The masses not ever wanting to buy from them again. They ass raped folks during the panic.
Sure, this may be a decent price, and some will buy from them, but MOST won't . I only buy from vendors who didn't gouge during the panic. Screw Cheaper than Dicks

Not sure why the thumbs down for my question... I was just curious why. Asking questions is bad now??

Price gouging sucks but I don't think that's in the same league as what Aero Prec. did... they had orders they cancelled and then sold the same thing themselves for more. At least CTD you knew the price and could make a decision if you wanted to be raped that bad. Aero failed to follow through on their word AND price gouged.

Still I don't see that many things I need from CTD. I can usually find it elsewhere cheaper and not have to deal with the multiple warehouse garbage.

Ctd haulted all gun sales immediately "in respect for newtown" then when they saw the oppertunity to sell them for 3-4 times normal price they started selling them again, which to me is worse because i dont believe for one second that they haulted sales in respect as it had no effect at all on the situation, i think they knew what they were doing right from the start as they had previous experience in the gouging department from the 2008 scare when obama was elected

Where to begin? LOL. Just to give a small example...last year at the height of the ammo drought CTD was advertising PMC 9mm for $80 for a box of 50. They will NEVER get another penny from me!

They were also selling non-windowed PMAGs for $99.99 each.

WHAT A JOKE.

CTD ripped off people last year, ture gunners don't do business with them.

5 votes

what did CTD do last year?

seriously? well shortly after sandy hook, CTD announced they would no longer sell "evil black rifles". Add to that their $100 PMAGS. Plus probably 100 other examples of anti-gun, put 'rape prices' money in their pockets, political correct douche baggery.

Kind of overpriced. Just wait for the next round of Herters or Tula to hit Cabela's; much better pricing and 5.00 shipping. Import ammo is starting to filter in to fill the void left by US makers due to DHS. Wait it out and the prices will get much better; and so will the US supply as makers get their head above water from the recent demand.

All this whining about CTD and others.. You're all a bunch of leftist hypocrites. Its called supply and demand. The companies are in business to make money and secure capitol. Yes, they will ride out these prices as long as they can, as CONSUMERS keep moving product off the shelves. Which they are.

Cheaper than Dirt could care less about who's bitching, they care about who's BUYING. When those numbers drop, so will their prices.

Take a fucking economics class dummies. You all need it. Giving things away for anything less than people are WILLING to pay for them is called charity.. Businesses aren't CHARITIES.

What I really find hilarious is how I know all of you bitching and moaning would be among the fastest to quietly rip out your credit cards when any of these "gougers" drop the price of 5.56 back to .33 cpr. You SWEAR you won't, but CTD knows you will, and that's just what they're planning on.

All this talk about boycotting and "Predatory Business Models" (loved that one btw) You're all a bunch of scabs. Haters of the system. Closet Liberals & Socialists... FILTH.

AMERICA: FREE MARKET CAPITALISM: SUPPLY AND DEMAND: EMBRACE IT: LOVE IT OR GTFO.

Another republiTARD jackwagon that thinks corporate greed and capitalism are the same thing. He probably runs the public affairs office for cheaper than diamonds while buying herters from cebalas by the truckload. Typical do as I say not as I do REPUBLITARD who wouldn't know the meaning of the word socialist if it got shot in the face climbing over the 500 ft Mexican border fence in his dreams.............well, when he's not dreaming about the planet being 9000 years old but full of 65,000,000 year old dinosaur bones. Bigots for Jesus treasurer no doubt.

They have displayed that their ethics are also "Cheaper than Dirt" as well.

They could sell .50 BMG for ten cents per round, but I would never buy from them on principle alone.

CTD can SMD, TYVM.

Raising prices is a self regulating rationing mechanism. All the complaints sound like the the permanently offended culture of the leftists. Next you'll be wanting Obama to investigate gunstores for gouging and join with the occupiers pooping in the street.
