Quick question, looks like this isn't bi-metal/steel... I take it though corrosive this is Non-Magnetic? Can someone confirm?

I know what corrosive is. That doesn't change the price. This is .25-30 a rd ammo max. They should have sold it in jan 2013 and they'd have gotten this ridiculous price.

do you guys realize what corrosive means or are you just spewing stuff you "heard" and believed it as a fact. corrosive ammunition will not corrode your gun all of a sudden. whats corrosive is the priming compound, when ignited it leaves residue in your barrel/action this residue is just a salt which attracts moisture in turn the moisture in combination with the left over salts is why its called corrosive. if you do a simple water or even windex rinse and do your normal cleaning your rifle will last just as long as if you shot non corrosive primed ammunition. please stop spewing the "corrosive ammo will ruin your gun" crap that is false! if you shoot a gun that has corrosive primed ammunition loadings you should know this. sure takes a tiny bit more time to clean as you need to get rid of the salts. again, learn what "corrosive" ammunition really is before you spew false information!!!!!!!!

It's corrosive. It will ruin your gun. UNLESS you clean it right away. With non-corrosive ammo, if you don't clean it right away, it won't ruin your gun. That's the complete story. Period.

Where to you see someone "spewing" false info?

This S&B is corrosively primed. Its one of the very few milsurp .308/7.62x51 that is. Sportsman's Guide was selling this stuff for 8 cents a round shipped back around 2004.

According to them its only mildly corrosove so it will only mildly fuck up your gun

Hmm... I guess that's like "a little bit pregnant"?

New production lake city is running .60-.67 a rd and it's becoming pretty common again. When will we see .25-.30 for this old surplus again and that's even high.

S&B from 1978.... Its vintage, so its worth more ;-) I'm sure it was kept in the dryest conditions for the last 30 odd years.

Yes, 35 years old! 1979 head stamp. Looks like sealed primers if that helps.
