Mine arrived today and look like quality tools. I'll try to assemble another lower this weekend to see if they work af well as I hope. If so, I have a TZ in the queue which needs the tapered roll pin replaced.

mobilebyrd or anyone else who has one of these sets. If you can, see if you can find anything that it doesn't fit. I'd be curious to know if this set fits everything or if there is something it doesn't fit. I just ordered a bolt catch so that will be on a my to do list.

Also, is it coated in a way that it doesn't scratch?

The set will work with all roll pins up to 1/8", and are not coated. These will work on a bolt catch, but the Wheeler bolt catch install kit ( $12 to $14 on Ebay ) works better. To prevent scratches I keep a roll of 3M Delicate Surfaces Masking Tape handy to cover any surfaces that might be at risk. It protects amazingly well, and has saved my ass about 95% of the times I've had " OH SHIT !! " moments. You can bevel the starting end of the roll pin slightly, and add a small amount of lithium grease to reduce friction.

Thanks for the feedback. At least I know what I would be getting. I seen some somewhere once that had some coating that would prevent scratches and such. Either they stopped making them or I can't find them. I'll look into the Wheeler kit. They make good tools and they are for firearms.

Thanks much.

I'll give Squirrel Daddy 5 stars. I've got a drawer full of their tools and vise blocks, and I could not be happier with the quality. I use their anti-walk trigger pins on everything.

Agreed; I've only got a starter punch set from them, but they're well made and have been flawless through several AR builds. Great quality-to-price ratio.

Suspicious of where made with a SKU number like that? Great deal for US made tools.

Worked for me. Deal was good with free shipping even without prime. Thanks for sharing and posting.

I beat mine pretty hard but they worked. Seems like they would be fine for anyone using them casually to assemble some uppers or lowers.
