A year ago $820 could get you an AR15 and this box of ammo.

It will be fun to see all the dealers at gun shows stuck with this in a year from now, next to the Korean guy selling Chinesium AR-15 accessories for twice what you would pay online. I still remember the guy who tried to sell me a pound of IMR 4895 for $50 back in 2013. I bet he still has it.

Well, we had a few good years of decent priced ammo. Thank God Biden didnt really get elected or we'd REALLY be screwed.

Man, had respect once for PSA. Had respect for Sportsmans Outdoor Super Store. They are the first to gouge. They went full CTD. You never go full CTD. Don't go full Natchez or Lucky Gunner either. Some of us remember last time how certain companies were here to "help" us out.

This is about 20 cents per round too high to be considered a deal.

So glad I ammo'd up before all this shit happened. With these crazy fucking prices, you will need a second mortgage on your house.

My 30cpr Wolf Gold from 2018 says hello.
Buy cheap and stack deep! Does this "deal" come with Vaseline?

I'm guessing you don't recall the green tip 420 ammo cans for 79 bones at wallyworld a few years back ?
I bought 30, still rolling with them.....and I reload, lots.
Everyone who shoots should have seen this shit coming and be stocked deep on powder, primers, and bullets and have a helluva progressive press that kicks out 500 or more an hour.
Funk these guys trying to buttsex this ammo, do not buy it and let them eat it.

aaaannnnnnddd this is why I just bought a Dillon press fuck it at these prices that press will pay itself off in about a month.

Hell yeah, same here!! Just got the XL750 in October and so happy I did with all this over inflated rape prices

I have an original RL550.
Dillon kicks ass, when they upgraded to the RL550B they sent me the parts (FOR FREE) to upgrade mine.
I had a lawnmower catch on fire in my garage and it damaged my press, I went to order the parts to repair it from Dillon and they sent them to me for free.
WTF? that was in no way a warranty thing but they covered it anyway.
I really hope since Mike died they stay the same company, if they do they will always have my reloading business.
It also helps that they make stuff that is night and day better than any other reloading company out there.

Palmetto related to Natchez Shipping to high Your rebate goes down the drain

Funny thing is both this and the steel tip were free shipping yesterday, now it’s not and they are pulling a Natchez special clawing the rebate from you! Go onto site and search for xm855cs amd see how it’s in stock at $289.99 with no free shipping and here is yesterday’s price wich was $299 with free shipping. Shipping is $30 with the $289 price....

That's why I always buy from SGAmmo. Prices are never manipulated to f--- shooters out of their rebates. Shipping costs are transparent and fair. Good service. No taxes, as I live in SC. About the same price as PSA after the rebate, but I don't feel like I'm getting my pants pulled down by PSA.

Shipping Kills PSA deals. Better off with Brownells coupon codes and cash back offers on Ebates.

DO NOT BUY ANY FEDERAL XM193 AMMO!!!!

Recent reports are that this ammo is underpowered (almost 100 FPS off from spec) and very inaccurate!
Recent Fed XM193 (18 production) has been VERY Low Quality!!!

I can make enough money to buy more than 30 rounds in the time it takes to count a whole box of a thousand, are you all serious right now

1 vote
0 votes

When you pay for 1000, you should get 1000. When you pay for a 30.06, you shouldn't get a .22 just because someone doesn't pay attention to detail. I am sure if you are flowing with cash, you can buy a few boxes and give to those short on count. Best not to buy this bulk shit and get 20/50 round packs. I can count a box of 1000 in about 5-6 minutes. So you must have a nice paying job...$.30 a round X 30 = $9.00 * 10 (60/6)=$90 an hour. Way more than I make. No wonder you are not worried about how many they send you. You can afford to buy these by the pallet. But maybe you are just a slow counter...

In my experience it shoots the same as Wolf Gold. Same drop, same grouping out of 3 16" barrels. I don't see the reason to pay $26 more for questionable amount of this brass vs Wolf Gold with ammo can and guaranteed 1,000 count.

Shorted by 28 rds - 972 not 1,000!
I bought this ammo on 8/24/14, it arrived on 9/22/14 but it probably would have been delivered earlier except that it was Labor Day weekend. All that being said, I just opened it up today 9/05/14 (yes it's Friday and I'm counting ammo lol) and started to count it, to split it with a friend but there was only 972 rds in the 1,000 rd bulk pack I purchased. MAKE SURE YOU COUNT YOUR AMMO SO YOU AREN'T SHORTED 28 RDS LIKE ME!!!!
PSA is closed now so I will have to call them on Monday. I don't think it's their fault because the package didn't have any damage and it was sealed with a black tie-strap so Federal is most likely the cause of the shortage but this just really bothers me. I've purchased a lot of 1,000 rd bulk packs and never counted so it just makes me wonder how many times I've been cheated. I will update my post after I hear back from PSA and how they're going to correct this.

Ammunition sold in loose bulk is packaged by weight, and as such, actual round count may vary by a factor of +/- several percent. Your results are within normal expectations of such packaging. Some vendors are good about communicating this fact effectively on the product page. Unfortunately, it appears PSA is not.
