CPNSHIP1708 DOESNT WORK. No free shipping.

Use BRSH1708. Worked for me just now.

In stock now so Just bought more. Had a $20 and $10 ecertificate to use by end of month so it was a great deal. PMC cost 10 more for not much better quality. Never had problem with wolf steel or wolf gold. Especially if you are just shooting crap in the desert like me. SG service and stock has always been good to me too.

Ignore all the haters, this ammo shoots great and Sportsman Guide has always been a great source of deals. FYI - SH1073 worked great for free shipping on this order. I had already used the coupon codes listed in the description, but SH1073 was a winner.

Just get this. It's brass, cheap and much more accurate if all you're doing is punching paper. https://gun.deals/product/federal-american-eagle-223-50gr-tipped-varmint-20rds-ae223gtv-589...

wolf gold is also brass. Once you add shipping, the PSA ammo is a bit more expensive.

No buyer's club, far superior accuracy, not as dirty and you can sell what you don't shoot for $.45/rd.

Purchased and shot it up. Good grouping for the price (3-4 @ 100). No complaints. Would love to pay less… but happy it’s available. Freedom Munitions is another good choice. M

Can one person in here actually tell me where you can get 5.56, brass, boxer primed for less than .30 delivered........if not now.......where are the deals you can usually get. I have never seen brass 5.56 for under 300 a thousand........steel for steel for 239 sometimes. Also I have never had a problem with SG but im sure they have done plenty in the past but I'll bet most of the issues happen around ammo runs and low inventory closeouts. Just my thoughts.

Ordered Sunday delivered Friday. I ordered 2 x 260 rds last Sunday with free shipping and they delivered the next Friday. I'm happy with the transaction. We'll see how the ammo performs. Came out to 31.5 cents a round delivered for non-member. I think the price is too high but it's about the lowest cost brass .223 right now.

You can get a good deal from SG if you keep up on all the sleaze they put out. I just found out yesterday that they never refunded my money since my last order back in december after I cancelled it because they got all the buyers club scam info wrong. You need to check your cc bills too and make sure all the mistakes they make get fixed and carried through with.

Gotta love the sleaze from SG, which indeed does blow dog. I bought 600 rounds of 855 from them for .29/r just when the "panic" started. Of course I got email after email putting it out further and further. On Monday night I got the new expected delivery date of late September. I had nothing to lose so I said keep it on order. It shipped this morning. Squeeze a little more profit out you sleaze balls.

Yesterday I got an email from them giving a backorder expected shipping date of 12/30/15 (haha) for a box of Magpul 9mm I ordered. You believe that crap? Anyway, I refused to cancel because it seems like that's what they were trying to get me to do probably because they can't get a good wholesale price from the manufacturer.

"Estimated delivery 7/6/2015". Ok deal if you don't mind waiting 4 months for delivery and getting pelted with several spam emails every day with no way to unsubscribe. SG blows dog

Thumbs up just for the line "SG blows dog"

9/10 Dogs agree: They prefer *not* to be blown by an SG employee. SG talks too much *crap*.

Another vote here. They stopped shipping ammo to CA as of the new year, I believe. Lost a huge market. Probably why they're having all these ammo deals.

I live in california and received an order of ammo about a month ago. Granted they shipped me something different than I ordered but I did buy and receive ammo in cali

Really? You're lucky. Sac and Napa counties are out of luck. I get this:

Item(s) listed below cannot be shipped to your address. Change your shipping address or remove the items from your order to continue.
Restricted Items Reason
260 rds. Wolf Gold .223 55 Grain FMJ Ammo
This item cannot be ship to zip code XXXXX (Removed for privacy.)

This has more to do with local law than SG. If you buy ammo in sac brick and mortor you have to show ID and since this is an online buy you would need to show ID. So I doubt you can have it shipped from any other online merchants. I live in Elk Grove and they still ship here, <1 mile down the road. They had a bill a year or two ago that would have made it state wide not just Sac ....... Good thing it did go anywhere.

How much can one shoot with 10rd mags? Or is it the hoarders who make up the CA market?

cannot stand sportsmans guide

I can't stand Sportsmans Guide. I used to use their membership, but after items always being on backorder forever, like this one, and them jacking up prices everytime there is a media scare, I'd rather give my buisness to someone else.

Find someone who has a membership. Type in their last name and phone number when your checking out and use their membership to get the lower price. Works like a charm and avoid the member fees.

I don't even look at the deal if I see it's "Sportsman's Guide". The deal is always for 'members' only. I DON'T, AND WILL NEVER PAY MEMBERSHIP FEES AT ONLINE STORES.

Ordered a thousand rounds of 223 from them as a non-member, still a great price. Then when the ammo shipped, i got an email from them offering me a $29.99 discount from that previous order if I joined their club for $29.99. So I got a free membership. Just need to remember to cancel it before it renews next year.

Why should anyone give a f*** if YOU choose to pay for a membership? If the deal is good and the membership pays for itself it doesn't f***ing matter. Get over yourself.

I hate this company. They di@k you on their membership and you're still not getting a good deal. Remember when they jacked their prices up on the last go around? I do and these people (among a few others) can suck it!

I bought 2 cans from the Armory and was about to get another, however, they are out of stock at the moment. I would wait or call when they are getting more in instead of buying from this sh*tty Sportsman company!

Btw: This ammo shoots flawlessly!

Deal posted is for members of "Buyer's Club". Cost to join: $30 / year.

If you can afford to buy in bulk (1000 rds), it's cheaper to buy from SG Ammo, even with free shipping from Sportsman's Guide!

If you had to pay shipping, you'd save 10% by ordering from SG Ammo.
308.74 + 20 = 328.74 @ Sportman's Guide
279.50 + 16 = 295.50 @ SG Ammo

SGAmmo moved the price up now for 1000 rounds to $299.99 + $16 shipping, as of June 14, 2015 0954hr.

This is a better deal then buying the larger quantities of 500 and 1000 rounds.
I have shot this in 2 Delton Ar15s, 16" & 20" barrel and an Anderson 24" SS Barrel with good accuracy at 100-250 yards.
My dad reloads these brass casing and has had no issues.

Are these Bi-Metal bullets?

No this are a regular bullet, lead core with copper jacket. This is actual real ammo.

Any idea if this will fragment like m193?

0 votes

The bullet may be the same but, .223 is not M193 Nato 5.56!Less powerful round than 5.56.

0 votes

It might be .223 but ballistics are nearly identical and yes the bullet is M193.

Yes, the velocity seems to be nearly on par with NATO loadings. I'm still unsure as to fragmentation because the jacket has been said to be thicker. Do you have first hand experience with this round's fragmentation?

I don't have first-hand experience with Wolf Gold.
