Thought it was cool until I saw one in person. Cheap pot metal junk. Cheap crappy magazines. Cheap crappy sights. Feels like it’s going to break if you drop it.

I got one recently. Ran flawless with cheap CCI std velocity.

Beware though. it's very much like a STG44 in that it's HEAVY as fuck!
Your girlfriend/wife will bitch and moan.

The mags are apparently accurate to the STG44 also which mean they're as LONG as fuck!
If you want to do some benchtop shooting, make sure you get a shorty 10rd mag also.

I guess the Nazi's plan was to always be standing up and running forward over the enemy so the long mags didn't matter.

A lot had problems shooting low as well. Mine shoots about a foot low. Some filed down the front sight and other like me raised the rear sight. But mine is so far off I had to raise it and then move the position of the rear site to max level to shoot on bullseye at 50ft. Crazy! The GSG5 I bought jammed like crazy and found that it was the magazines and then the cheap metal the block wore holes into it with under 500 rounds through it. I swore I would never buy another ATI product after these incidences. I did give them another try and just bought my first 1911 ATI Military and so far its been pretty good. Heavy and built well and on target.

Make one in 7.62x39 please.

The box is made of cheap pallet type wood and screwed together with sheet -rock screws. It is also sprayed inside with hardening foam. You won't be missing anything there. I'd advise aqainst buying the gun as it is a cheap 22lr action stuffed in a very heavy pot metal airsoft gun. I bought one and regretted every day I had it and it was a b to get rid of.

someone should make this d#mned rifle in a big-boy caliber- like with the FG42(but not for $5K like that one)

And why do they not ship in the crate that they are supposed to ship in? The only likely reason is because they sell the crates separately to make more money. That's pretty ridiculous.

They sell the one in a crate for $30 extra. GSG distributes it in both forms. There's nobody selling the boxes in bulk. If you think the box is useless, this saves you $30. It would be my choice.

I bought this gun at the $400.00 price with 15% off and $50.00 rebate and call about the new price of $319.00 with rebate and was given a refund of the difference .Call before you cancel your orders or get mad

I agree, this company seems to be pretty customer friendly. I ordered Sunday night, forgot to apply the coupon and called them Monday to ask them to honor it. They refunded the $15 difference before I was even off the phone. Arrived at my FFL on Wednesday.

While I haven't picked it up yet, I can't see how anyone could complain about their service.

Why buy this when a highly regarded S&W is available for a few $ more?

Because many people are not in an either/or situation and can easily buy both. Even then, there are reasons why someone would buy this over the M&P15-22. IE - The later being made of polymer and while there are a ton of 22lr AR-15's there is only one 22lr STG44.

You have got to be freaking kidding me. I put an order in for this gun two days ago with 500 rounds of 22 ammo. After the ammo is taken into account I still paid at least$50 higher! I called these people and told them to keep their damn gun and the ammo as well. That's ridiculous! Dropping it that soon after a "good deal" price...

Pretty sad that they have to resort to giving .22 ammo with the guns just to move them now

The MP40 is referred to as the "Schmeisser" not the MP44/STG44.

These people will rip you off in shipping. I am not sure about firearms, but with ammo, the do not disclose the shipping cost until you receive your product.

If the company in question is CDNN I respectfully disagree (then again, the post is now over 5 years old). Currently they are charging 3.99 USD for shipping on ammo and free shipping for firearms. While this is a promotion, I have found (over the last few years) that they have been great to deal with. Also, why would you purchase ammo without knowing the shipping cost?
