As Club member, just placed order at $277.39 and $0 shipping using SH2258.

Not sure how much the shipping is, but join the club for this deal and you start at $277.93, then use TAKEOFF20% and the price is $222.34. Shipping would have to be pretty awful to make that a bad deal.

TAKEOFF20% is $30 max. would be $247.93

Comes out to $270 if you have their cc. Combined with 4 pay of only $67 a month is fine with me

Current price of $277.39 is bogus. The price is $319.99 for non members and $303.99 for members.

Must be a Buyers Club Member to use code SK560 and if you use that you cannot get free shipping so the $16 you save is negated by the $20 shipping fee.

I would have never started the membership if I knew the $10 coupons would be made useless because you cannot combine these with any free shipping code. I didn't realize this in time so I couldn't cancel the membership. Turns out the inability to use two codes makes the membership deal a bad deal after all....

I cancelled a membership a few months after getting it (a few years ago). Have you asked for a refund of membership costs?

My favorite ammo for the range and wouldn't be a bad option for shtf. Never had a failure of any kind through thousands of rounds fired with Wolf Gold. Hopefully it will go even cheaper but can't really go wrong at this price if you need to replenish.

Odd, I've had plenty of issues with Wolf Gold 223. My two AR's and a buddy's AR has FTF issues with this particular ammo. We thought it was an issue with a particular brand of mag we were using, then fired a few hundred rounds of 556 green tip without a single failure.

I did buy this thousand round box when the price was $277, but it's back up to $303 as of 3/28/17.

I've never had FTF w/WG, but I recently noticed one piece of brass was cracked after it was fired.
My 'stash' is probably a year old, so obviously not from this same lot number, but still, was pretty amazed to see brand new ammo crack it's brass. Stuff happens,,,,,,, I guess,,,,,,,,,,,
Yep, price is back up to $303 as of 3/28/17

No hurry. (Unless you're out)

Lots of panic buying before the election. Most folks are still 'well-stocked'
Prices will only continue to drop, both ammo and firearms.

The price rose was as high as $332.49 on election day, but dropped back down to $308. Fortunately I was able to cancel my order the next day. I would bet that pricing will continue to drop to $299'ish in a few weeks.

The ammo is good to go. I have had no problems at all. I bought 1000 for this price of $308. now, after the election, the price will go under 30 cents per round. I will wait to buy more.

purchased 500 rds, I've only gone thru about 100, so far so good, no complaints . Good bang for the buck.

Still 31 cents each? C'mon, the Election is over and we've won everything. Let's make life easier.

I'll think about it when it gets to 23c.....maybe.

One case open crappy SG packaging. Top of case torn open in transit and 4 20-round boxes fell out and lying loose in the shipping carton. No ammo missing. My other case in the same order is fine. At least they shipped me Wolf Gold .223.

Does anyone have experience with this ammo and PMC Bronze or PMC X-Tac 55 grain? How do they compare in terms of accuracy and how clean they shoot?

0 votes

FWIW, I have a 26" 9 twist bolt and I reload.
PMC Bronze is slightly more accurate than Gold for me and there's no primer crimp to remove before reloading. (I have no experience w/X-tac)

I've mostly only used this in 3-gun. I've had excellent accuracy consistently out to 250 yards which is normally our longest shots here in FL

Everyone with an AR should have a case of this for plinking/SHTF.

$296/1,000 Wolf Gold shipped for the 223 when I bought 2 cases. That was yesterday with the 'take an extra 5% off' Sportsman's Guide club coupon, that took an extra $32 off. This stuff tested much more accurate than LC XM193 in a very comprehensive test by Molon over at ar 15 dot com and only about 25 fps slower than the XM193.

Ordered a case of this last Thursday along with a case of Gecco 7.62x39 fmj. Received two cases of steel cased Wolf hp 7.62x39 from them a week later. Proceed with caution when ordering from Sportsmansguide. They are a shadow of their former selves and have atrocious customer service. Just my two cents, but can't say I didn't warn you.

No issues

I paid $308 for this same deal a few months back from SG so this is even better even if only by $5. I have had 0 issues with this ammo through my S&W M&P15 after about 800 rounds. It is far more accurate than I am.

I've had no issues with Wolf Gold through over 1,000 rounds in a Ruger AR556 and a Windham Weaponry AR. Accuracy seemed to be better than pmc bronze and pretty close to the same as federal xm193. SG has always shipped within about 3 days of ordering. I'm confident with all Wolf Ammo in my ARs and AKs.

Holy crap people. 67 comments of jibberish with everyone boasting about what they paid and ridiculous talk about currency exchange rates. fine if that's what you're into, but why the hell doesn't anyone have a damn comment on the ammo itself and the associated performance of it? I don't give a shit what it cost you to ship your order to Kuntucky opposed to another person shipping to South Redneckville, I just want to know if the fucking ammo goes BOOM reliably and what cons there may be with performance. I don't care about $10 +/- either way if the ammo is crap. More comments regarding the product itself would be appreciated.

The whole point of gun.deals is to find good prices. No surprise to me that the subject matter of the comments is in fact the cost. This is the place for that more so than product reviews. If cost is no concern then don't waste your time on gun.deals. I keep my price bashing to myself unless I am on gun.deals as this is the place for it.
This is great ammo, everyone happy with it and it's accuracy. Research will net you people who used an imported wolf gold years ago that complained; but the stuff being sold today runs great. Everyone is impressed with the bang for buck on wolf GOLD, but not so much on some other wolf products. This stuff is the best brass cased buy out there by my experience and research.

I can determine on my own if the price is right IF I know that the ammo is worth buying in the first place. I can see the price, what I don't know is if it is reliable and consistent - that information is much more useful that someone's opinion on the price.

You could take about 4 minutes to open a new tab and read an entire internet worth of reviews on this ammo.

Or you can bitch and moan that after someone already found the deal for you, that they didnt also serve up the perfect review for you on a silver platter.

I guess it just depends on if you like solving problems or creating them for yourself and complaining.

says in stock, but the order I placed 3 weeks ago still hasn't shipped.... Looks like typical Sportsmansguide shenanigans.

Their policy states that it will ship within 3-5 days in most cases and usually a label is generated within that time frame. Got my 1k of wolf gold over a week ago and noticed that when they said it was in stock and showed "order pending" after 3 days. (ordered Thursday and was still pending on Monday following) So...i sent them a message through their site and the next day miraculously, it was prepared for shipping. Don't wait on them to ship it especially if it's been 3 weeks because it probably got lost in the system. It happens yet I've only had this happen one other time in one year and they've made good both times. Got it for .28 a round. Stock up people...if Sllary Clinton get's elected it's all over.

Quoted me $20 for shipping then wanted to charge me $190 the next day.

You can use a free shipping code every time to get free shipping and there is a section here on gun.deals that has the coupon codes listed.
Haven't paid for shipping yet. You can also do a google search for sportsmans guide coupon code and you will get right to the slick page with them listed.

$296.44 shipped no membership. There's an actual deal, follow scotrod's link. Hurry up before it's all gone. Ordered mine yesterday. It won't hang around like these overpriced sportsman's deals. Is someone getting paid to post up sportman's over and over even if it's not a deal?

For $5 more I bought this same item from Copes two weeks ago. I'd spend around $2500 on this deal to finally save $5. $40 for membership you gotta buy 8 before seeing the savings. That is my general findings every time I pencil out a club program. Maybe a club would save me money if gun.deals didn't exist because it would be far too time consuming to search for the deals. Joining this club is not a good deal. Sportsmen guide will probably never get my money as long as gun.deals exists. There's always a better deal unless you plan to spend thousands a year at your membership place. Let me say thanks to gun.deals and fellow posters for sharing good deals!

$309.50 shipped for 1000 round case at targetsportsusa.com right now. no games, no codes, no membership.
