Like others below I have found the quality of my "AIM AR/M16 .223/5.56 NiB 9310 MPI BDG Bolt Carrier Group" disappointing. Unlike other NiB bcgs that I have seen, which normally have a uniform finish with a fine matte sheen to uniformly satin appearance, mine looked like it was rough cast in sand and finished with a rattle can. (It was my first NiB BCG and I didn't know any better)

Mine started to show small pit sized holes and finish loss after a single trip to the range (less than 150 rds).

Mine was not purchased from OP but directly from AIM surplus in 2014. Unfortunately it was 4 months until I got it to the range.
I will never buy another AIM surplus BCG. I sold mine for $75 to a budget builder with full disclosures and still felt guilty about it.
My model was: XAIMBCGNIBBDG

I bought one of these AIM Nickel Boron 5.56 Bolt Carrier Group w/ Charging Handle from you .  I was very pleasantly surprised with the quality and it is so slick it slid out of my hand when I took it out of the bag, slid across the basement, and slid half way up the stairs before I could catch up to it.  I nylon tie strapped it to the refrigerator to keep it from sliding around at night and waking me up!

Seriously my AR has functioned perfectly with this bolt!

Aim BCG's are not the quality product some would lead you to believe. I have three Nitride V2's, and all of them have suck rough machining inside the carrier, it sounds like the bolt is sliding over threading.

You don't need to be a genius to figure out this is obviously going to eat gas rings like crazy and wear hard overall. Aim will not take them back, even unused, as 'they've never had a problem with the carriers that had poor maching.'

Super lack of quality and surprising lack on customer service on that specific issue.

Mine was also trash. I've since purchased both Fail zero's and PSAs NiB BCG for around $10 more than the AIM Surplus one I bought and couldn't be happier.

Hi CavScout, Thanks for the comment. These are a different BCG than the nitride V2, I think those were discontinued about a year ago. These have great machining and we've had great feedback on these regarding finish and function. Sorry that you had a bad experience with the V2 nitride but we stand behind these should you have any issues.

Funny how they 'discontinue' a item that they claim they "never had a problem"....makes you wonder, don't it?

I know that aren't the exact same BCG; but they are both machined, then treated/coated, then assembled (I would assume that order...) with the same level of care.

Mine didn't have a design issue, it was fit and finish AND quality control issues.

Exactly this. It was poor finishing & prep on metal surface and sloppy as hell application.

And on top of what sounds like shitty customer service really makes you want to open your wallet.

Yes, range time with both. 300 rounds down range with both, 3 types of ammo and flawless. Cleaned up nicely with some slight discoloration.

Any range reports yet?

I've been using an AIM NiBX BCG for several years in one of my regularly-used range guns. Well over 1500 rounds down range and it had had no issues.

Turned the normal yellow/orange tinge I expect from non EXO NiBX, finish had no chipping or serious wear (including the area the hammer travels on the bottom), rings are good.

The finish on these is not a slick or nice as either my FailZero or WMD BCGs, but it is okay.
