Great slide. I already used it in one of my 1911 projects. The previous comments are correct that it does not take a Novak Sights but I make 1911 projects that will have standard sights as well.
This would be a really good project/first build kit.
Okay, stupid question as I am far from a 1911 guy: I have a "standard" or GI model 1911 made by Citadel. I want to try a red dot but don't want to lose iron sights nor mess with rezeroing. Would this be a straight drop in so I could simply swap slides?
There are items to add a top rail so you can try it before committing to a custom slide. There are also rear sight adapters. Your question seems silly to me, as if it were common sense, but you've gotta learn some time and I'm glad to help!
This looks like a pretty good deal for a starter pistol, someone working on building their first 1911. Anyone have direct experience with the Regent Manufacturing brand? I've seen their a Turkish company and have read mixed reviews, but not on parts; just on full guns.
Does this have a ramped barrel?
