Loaded to the same specs as Federal's Premium loads, these Federal American Eagle 5.56x45mm Rounds are priced for your average plinker. American Eagle is designed specifically for target shooting, training and practice. Plus, you get a great Can for storing and transporting your ammo.

Annealed per military requirement. This ammo has been annealed, so you know it meets true military specs. Unlike your standard civilian round, the military requires visual proof of the annealing on the case, causing the case to appear discolored. This is done intentionally to meet military requirements for overall durability and strength in the completed round.

Ok, little guy.

Why not just admit that you either don’t know what you’re talking about, or you deliberately tried to mislead with your selective quoting of the article I linked?

Either way, you’re not looking too bright here.

Why is it listed as .223 AND 5.56? Which is it?

Both are one in the same, sir...

Uh...no. No, they most certainly are not.

Why is it that people who don’t know much about firearms feel it necessary to publicly demonstrate that ignorance?

"What does all this mean? If you have an AR-15 type firearm with a 5.56x45 mm chamber you can shoot either .223 Rem. or 5.56x45 mm safely."

You left out an important part of the summary, big guy...

“If you have a .223 Rem. rifle of any type, it is not recommended that you use 5.56x45 mm ammunition.”

You would think the manufacturers would have made it impossible to put a 5.56 round inside a .223 rifle (so uninformed people wouldn't 'break something'...including their rifle or themselves), but still allow a .223 round to fire in a 5.56 rifle. It wouldn't have been that hard.

I have gotten some pretty beat up ammo with this bulk boxed deal. Not sure if they were mil spec rejects? I spent a few cents more to get the stripper clip and boxed 20 and had better luck. Still some dings and dents but the bulk stuff was really banged around.

Everyone should just start posting non-deals on this site. Admins do it, so apparently it's encouraged.

I logged in to say the same thing. Not a deal. Even if this were 62 Grain M855 it still would be a non-deal. That is all.

@ over .41 cents a round this is not a deal; .30 per round can be found at multiple sites. To call this a "deal for a limited time only" is nothing but hype and an insult to everyone who knows otherwise.
