I know Cabela's is high, but buy these and use them on their sales from Thanksgiving to xmas.

Cabellas has sales?.. Cabellas has never had a sale on anything I couldn't scour the internet for and find cheaper elsewhere.

Cabellas doesn't have sales, they just take intermittent breaks where they aren't openly, blatently raping their customers.

Gotta give em credit though, no other store in history has had the balls to openly market FREE IN STORE PICK UP... To read people still defend that shit always makes me laugh. And I get to park for free too?..Wow, what a deal!!! Lmao.

I can't stand the place.

Yep. I tend to keep a few on hand and use 'em on Sale items. There are times when you truly do get a good deal that way.

The only ~caveats~ with these cards are limit of 3 and a few days wait for them to arrive via USPS

They have always arrived and always worked fine for me.

I buy these all the time. Only one problem and it wasn't their fault, it was the post office. Wish I had these before I ordered that Sig 365.

Have bought these before, never an issue. Sure, Cabbie's might be a bit higher than some other online stores, but sometimes you just gotta go there, see the sights, and touch the items in person. If you combine these cards with any sales they have, and rack up more points on your card, you can do okay! No issue with these cards.

In for 3 more, svmgiftcards hasn't let me down yet. This will be my 4th or 5th order of these from them and they have all been the real deal.

These are real deal cards. Works great when you have a physical store to go to.

I had $1200 in gift cards and had such trouble using them on stuff that got cancelled that I quit buying them. Maybe you have better luck.

Has anybody noticed that it's taking longer and longer for them to sell out of the gift cards? I quit buying them because every time you tried to use them the order ended up canceled or some other trickery. They're the hardest company to try and buy from. I even had an order of clothes that got shipped but somewhere along the way got lost. I think it's pretty bad when you can't even sell gift cards at 20% off.

Not sure what you mean about taking longer to sell out. I only buy these discounted gift cards from this vendor as I have never had a problem. I have been too late the last three times as they were sold out. This time I got three as soon as it was posted.

They used to put up 10,000 and they would be gone in a day or two, now they put up 2000 and it takes two or three days. Obviously you have never tried to buy any of the sale items, especially guns, around November, December, January, just to have them canceled without notice. Just go to resellerratings.com and put in Cabela's and you'll see what everybody's always griping about.

Oh I see, I didn't pay attention to the amount of cards. I just know they were sold out whenever i tried to buy them. I don't have a Cabelas near me but I do have a Bass Pro and the websites states I can exchange my Cabelas gift cards for Bass Pro by calling their customer service. I might consider that if I wanted to buy a gun locally when it is on sale.

I typically use these cards to buy optics. I wait until they put something I want on sale. Then I go through active junky and save 7% and then pay with the cards for an additional 20% savings. I have used them on ammo, but the active junky discount is only 2% for ammo.

I have never had any of my orders on ammo or optics cancelled, whether using gift cards or not. Sorry to hear your experience has been more problematic.

But I do know your frustration. I used to buy from Sportsman's Guide. I used to think they were great until they started cancelling my orders claiming not to have stock...only to see the item listed again at a higher price. They did that to me one too many times and I have never bought from them again. You might want to check them out at resellerratings.com, just as bad a rating as Cabelas.

I am seeing conflicting information - will Cabella’s ship to my local FFL or do they require in store pickup of firearms?

Both. You must have the firearm shipped to Cabela's. They will ship it (for a fee of $35 I think) to your preferred FFL (another transfer fee). Call your local Cabela's to confirm before ordering.

I wish they had these $80 ones more often.

any other way to get the gift cards without a eBay account

this is late reply but for anyone else wondering...yes you can use guest checkout and pay with credit card.

If you shop at Cabelas do not pass this up. Port through Active Junky for more savings. Since buyout of Cabelas from Bass Pro I'm now charged sales tax (Eff U Bass Pro). These cards still make shopping at Cabelas well worth it.

Ibotta is 7.5% back and they rebate on more categories. Both are great, just a suggestion.

Get an ebay account. This is'nt the only deal to be had on ebay.

Got a shitload. You can get more than 3 if you cheat a little.

How do you get more than 3?

I imagine via the expedient of setting up multiple eBay accounts & ordering the limit from each in turn. NB: I haven't tried this myself, just hazarding a guess!

You don’t even have to cheat. It’s limit of 3 per auction, but this seller is constantly opening and closing auctions. Just follow the “item number” on the auction - you’ll see it changes almost daily. I think they only enforce limits of 3 per item number. Hope that makes sense!
