I would recommend calling them they were helpful before I ordered. My bca 223 wydle shoots submoa groups .75" at 100 yards with
55 grain vmax

Bear creek sells Rusty junk, Sent mine it with casings of steel case Ammo, Even though they say don't use steel case, Then the barrel is heavy rusted, Chamber is heavily pitted rust!

Just took mine out finally. Functioned great on a Vorn Lima 1 receiver, carbine buffer spring and buffer, but I didn't run too many rounds through it, maybe a mag or two, as I don't really like to train with guns that are not my main.

I like the upper, it's a great upper, but it is a bit heavy. Built very robustly. I have, however, fallen in love with my newest main lightweight 5.5 pound ar build (100% frakenbuild, beautiful and works like a dream) and don't think I'll be changing for one of these as my main. I will probably keep this pistol setup though, as I do like it.

Note: I am right handed, brass was hitting my large electronic earmuffs, but I have my sig brace gen 1 completely collapsed, so LOP is very short. I believe that at standard carbine LOP, or extended slightly, the brass will not be a bother at all. Wasn't a big deal, but a slight distraction.

The barrels are better than you think. They actually guarenteed sub MOA on anything 14.5 or longer. Or that might be 16 inch. Regardless they are much better than PSA or Anderson in my opinion. They don't guarentee anything plus their customer service is non exsistant. I picked up another one of these these and the handguard was dinged up. They sent me out a new HG no questions asked. Also sent me a prepaid ticket to return old one. They would have sent me a new upper but I didn't want to return my old one and wait. Sold for a $289complete upper!!

Yeah it does come as a complete upper, with bcg and the left sided ones come with a standard charging handle (the right sided ones have a bolt). It's quite the deal. If you wanted to build a cheap upper with similar components using best deals for each part, you would be paying about the same price. Received mine, but haven't put any rounds through it yet, but it is very smooth, and hand cycled a mag with no problems. It is a little heavy, which I'm not happy about, but it's not a deal breaker. I may be selling some of my ars to trade for some more of these uppers. From what I have researched, the barrels are also BCA, which seems to be on par (now) with anderson and psa.

Can someone clarify: does this come with BCG and CH?

Description and title seem to say something different.

I just got the 16 inch right handed version in 7.62x39 and runs like a dream. Super accurate for 7.62x39 as well. I was getting 2.5 inch groups at 100 yards with ball red army ammo which is insane. I always though BCA was shit but I was definitely wrong! The billet reciever rivals some of my highend billet AR's. Fit and finish is superb. Handgaurd is average at best but it's solid and serves its purpose. Just leaned something to be desired cosmetically but for $299 for compete upper I don't know if there's a better value out there. Mine even came with the SS 416 barrel which is actually beautiful. Not as shinny as my BCM precision 18 inch barrel but the complete upper was 1/3 the cost of the BCM....

Although the only thing I don't understand is my upper didn't come with the standard CH shown in this picture. Mine just came with A screw that filled the hole where the handle is shown in the picture.

Awesome thanks!

After this comment I was looking at the design and realized it might deflect, but it's nice to know.

Mine comes tomorrow.

Super long time lurker here, finally just made an account after years.

Did a little bit of research, these seem to be good to go, although I could only really find info on the "right handed" variation. I ordered this one around a week ago.

I haven't yet received anything from 22mods, but they do use quality components from what I have read, and at extremely good prices.

As far as left and right handed go... its just stupid. Just as Ale 864 said, left handed is actually better right handed shooters, as charging it, or pushing forward like a forward assist, is much faster and easier with your secondary (left) hand. The one thing I am worried about is the lack of shell deflector and getting smacked in the face. If that happens, I will figure out a way to add one.

If I remember, I will update this once I have received the upper and tested it.

Awesome deal.

I actually visited there showroom and asked them about Lt hand charging handle . They informed me that if your right handed , you would indeed get spent shells in the face. I ordered one that day and should have out soon. This will be my 2nd upper from 22mods for all.

The side charging handle itself serves as a deflector. I have not had any issues with mine outside of the brass ding marks on the charging handle - just like a right hand 'standard' deflector. Not really an issue - just an observation. It's a purchase I do not regret.

I just ordered the 8", but once it comes in I can give feed back. Left hand would be beneficial for right handed shooters since you wouldn't have to charge it like an ak.

Anyone have any experience here. Why left hand vs right hand? Quality from this company ok?

I purchased the 18" Hunter with right hand charger. I love it. I'm shooting cloverleafs at 100yrd.

I kinda think a left hand charge would be nicer. That's left hand charge yet still right hand eject.

I went with right because all my hunting rifles are set up that way but none of them have pistol grips so...i'm not sure how it would be.

Bear Creek actually sent me a rear charger by mistake. they sent me a return label and overnighted the correct one very quickly.

I don't have alot of AR time but I can tell you mine is heavy, looks great, functions great and best of all I can hit beer caps at 100yrd everytime. Ground hogs and yotes HATE it.
