Still waiting on my order from PSA, I placed 3 weeks ago...

I have a couple of issues with this kit. First the buffer tube was more of a gray than a black. Not a huge deal, but just FYI. Second, the hammer spring was crap. It was so weak it wouldn't even move the hammer. Switched to a spare one I had from a repair kit, and it works better now. Third, the and the MOST important issue, the locking ring for the buffer tube that has the two sling attachment points is WAY too big. It was so oversized (on the outside diameter) that it blocks the charging handle. Both standard and BCM. I will never buy a PSA parts kit again. The other stuff they sell seems fine, but the PSA branded stuff has not been worth the money for me.

you had an out of spec part. happens sometimes, I've done over a DOZEN build kits from PSA... only ONE part has been out of spec (a safety selector detent) out of those dozen... I've had friends buy them too. PSA is good to go... if you have an out of spec part call them. they'll send you a replacement. this happens as they don't make their parts kits. they just source bulk parts and toss them in a bag.

I have bought both PSA and PTAC lower kit, both work great, PSA AND PTAC work the same, can't tell the difference.

Be weary of buying the PSA lower parts kit. I bought two PSA lower receivers and also bought 1 Magpul LPK w/ Stock and 1 PSA LPK w/ Stock to install on the receivers. The Magpul LPK fit great, however, the PSA stock was marred when I received it (sent it back) and the PSA pistol grip screw hole did not align with the corresponding threaded hole on the receiver. This cost me an additional $30 to take to gun smith and have the receiver tapped since I stripped it before realizing the issue. If you search, you'll note others have had this same issue (AR15.com has a thread with photos).

I don't think I'll take the chance with a PSA LPK again.

I've never had a problem with PSA LPKs but the PTAC lower kits they sell are very poorly made (and also very cheap). Buy the actual PSA kits. The PTAC kits are not worth the hassle, no matter how cheap.

I've read about people having PTAC lower kit problems. I just installed a PTAC lower kit into a PSA blem lower and it functions flawlessly so far. Might be hit or miss with the product. I'll also agree that PSA products are reliable in my experience.

Mine just got to my house yesterday. 2 weeks shipping as advertised. No issues! Just need to install and find an upper I like. Using AIM bolt carrier I picked up for $99. PSA has always been good for me.
