Yes the price is ridiculous but on top of that could you imagine the poor fools who had to lug this heavy bastard sound the trenches and battlefield during a fight! Add if it were a real "BAR", You'd have alot more weight from the belt ammo. Just crazy to really think about. Much respect to all the soldiers who had to carry these when they were in war.
Its 20lbs, man. You're acting like this was John Basilone running around Guadalcanal hip firing an M2. The Thompson, a SMG, weighed 12lbs loaded. The Grease Gun wasn't exactly light at 9lbs. Other than the Carbine there really weren't any light guns, at least compared to the modern M4. They also didn't tend to just randomly issue the BAR. The same way they didn't make the 6'2 kid from Oklahoma get in the ball turret on a B-17, they didn't make the 5'4 130lb Jewish kid from the Bronx the BAR gunner
I believe he was talking about the ammo belt I mentioned. Or maybe he is clueless, I dunno.
Moores belt fed BAR circa 1936

I had never heard of this, interesting. Seems it was never adopted, so I'm going to guess the OP didn't know about it either and just assumed "real" BARs were belt-fed, when they clearly were not.
12 magazines of 20 x 30-06. Not fun to hump, but doesn't add weight to the gun.
Would be cool in the $1500 range. For $6k+ its stock better be autographed by Clyde and come with a lock of Bonnie's hair.
6300 for a fake bar and semi auto gtfoh with this garbage.
Much respect to the BAR but I made a great choice with my Noreen BN 30.06 and I spent less then half of what this cost
