Did you really just post your phone number expecting a call ?
1200 rounds of mixed ammo thru my CM40. Never had a failure of any kind. Little thing damn near jumps out of the hand if you don’t squeeze tight. Recoil takes it right out of my support hand in less than three rounds. Grain weight doesn’t seem to make any difference. 180, 165, 155, 135... They all feel like 357 Magnum out of an Airweight.
Be careful. Have had 4 kahrs, and 3 were awful jamomatics. Their magazines are very unreliable. Trigger is amazing.
I have 3 9mm kahrs and bought lakeline metal followers for them. It fixed all the issues on mine. An expensive route that Kahr should implement on their own, but I love my CM9's for pocket carry.
They are having a free 30 day trial of the club membership, which can be cancelled. That's what I did so I could take advantage of the low prices ;)
You might want to check ! Please correct me if I am wrong.
I did have a Club membership when I was buying a lot of Ammo etc. As I remember when you joined the Club you did get reduced prices and could cancel anytime.. However , as I remember, the fine print stated that if you canceled your membership you OWED the Guide any of the saving you may have gotten through buying as a member. Maybe the trial is different but I have my doubts. Again, correct me if I am wrong but I keep seeing these comments and don't think your going to get the savings you may think you are. If you do great - go for it.
I have the way Sportsmans Guide posts what looks like a good price but then you have to be a club member to get it. No thanks, I'll look elsewhere
Range update...My cw40 ran perfect with the Kahr plastic follower, no visible damage to it. Not one hiccup in 124 rounds, including 24 federal hollow points. It's broken in, runs great. Glad I got the cw. I have larger hands, the cm (one less round, shorter grip) I can only imagine trying to tame the snappiness of the 40. Now to clean it and throw it into the ccw rotation. Sorry for the longish posts, but thats why I love gundeals and I hope this helps someone make a more informed decision. Thanks to all who have helped me along the way with their posts as well. Merry Christmas to all!
Mine was full of issues, mag would drop (replaced the magazine button/catch) and it won't feed HP (follower not broken)
Took the cw40 to the range. Shot 100 rds of the 200 rd break in. I also put a lakeline aluminum follower in to replace the plastic one. Had one fail to feed, no biggie. Slingshotting the slide was no problem. Now the bad... Between 93 & 100 rounds the trigger guard drew blood, rubbing the skin off my finger. Thats ok since its not a gun I will go to the range all day. Went to clean it and saw that the offset feedramp was just mauling up the aluminum follower. So tommorrow I will shoot 100 more rounds to break it in, using the Kahr plastic follower. Hope it doesn't destroy it. Also will put a bandaid on my trigger finger ala Hickok 45. Just my experience, will update after range day.
You have to be in the "Buyer's Club" to get it at that price.
Just purchased the cw40 which is going for the same price. One more round in the mag and a place for my pinkie. Heard these Kahrs are finicky, hit or miss, but the price seemed right and I was bored. I am attracted to its simplicity of design.
Ordered on Oct 25, picked it up Oct 31 at my ffl. Nice job Sportmans Guide. Now to disassemble, lube and go see if it exhibits any bad habits some say plague this pistol. The CW 40 is six +1, feels good in hand and is slim. Seems a tad bit lighter than my xds9, but with a skosh more grip length for the old pinkie.
excellent single stack 40 at that price. the one i have shot naver one single failure . great defensive gun IMHO
I have the CM9, and it has been very reliable. My only concern, and the reason I don't jump on this and get a second Kahr, is that their customer service and warranty isn't that great. They will want you to pay to ship it back whereas Ruger, S&W will send out a prepaid shipping label.
If you have ever tried shipping a firearm, both UPS and Fed Ex will make you ship overnight, and the cost is often $60-80...or a third of the price of this pistol :) The post office won't even allow you to ship one USPS unless you are an FFL license holder.
that's not how this works . THat's not how any of this works.
Hey DING DONG! Doesn't work like that. These are FIXED prices. Not an auction.
I have a cm9 and love it. I did the rack the slide 100 times to break it in routine then took it to the range and it has been flawless. No idea about customer service as there have been no issues. Very accurate as well.
Kahr seems to be reduced prices lately. Anyone have review other than " Butter smooth trigger?" Customer service lately? Offices moved from N.Y. to PA. as I understand.
Can't speak for the CM40, but I have the CM9. I am amazed at how small it is for a 9...CM40 is same size I believe. MY CM9 has been flawless from day one...no malfunctions.
I would be concerned that the 40 would be snappy in such a small pistol. I used to have a Glock G27, and that thing was snappy. I could only imagine shooting 40 cal out of a 15 oz pistol, but to each his own.
I have the cm9 and cm40.
Both have been reliable.
9 is not bad to shoot.
40 is very snappy. For the intended use not really a concern. For the break-in it's not much fun.
