I stopped buying from these guys because of the CC fees & the slow arse shipping when paying with check.
same here, of the 5 1911's i own i like this one the best, really accurate, rugged and just keeps getting better with time..... i had a round 2,000 rounds through it since it's last cleaning and was still functioning great, finally decided to clean it last week and it took me 3 hours to get all of the dirt, sand, grit, carbon and other stuff out of it, since I've owned it i still haven't removed the grips and cleaned inside of there yet...
always on my hip when i go camping and never have to worry about it not functioning *once i broke it in*... eats anything i throw at it, went through a box of CCI snake shot a couple of weekend ago just to see how it would feed...no issues while my the other 2 1911's i had with me choked...
that said, when i first bought it i thought it was kind of ugly, but it really grew on me and is now something i just love to look at..looks even better now that the cerakote is all worn and rubbed bare in places... this pistol has seen some ****...
draw backs are the main recoil spring is flat wound and the only real replacement is made by wilson combat, not really a draw back as much as limited in selection and availability, order a couple and sit on them, the other would be the sig 1911 slide profile can and will limit you're holster choices in some cases though this has been getting better in the past couple of years...beyond that everything is great and all of the other parts are standard 1911 stuff that can be ordered up for the usual suspects without much thought.
also this is a good price..i paid over 1k for mine when these first came out.
Looking forward to the prices coming down
