Secure your handgun at home or in your vehicle with the Reach™ 2 Holster Safe. Reach™ 2 Holster Safe uses a state or the art biometric fingerprint sensor to unlock for only authorized users. The sensor is highly accurate and reliable, using your body's electrical current to read your fingerprint.
Main Unit
- Contains the biometric sensor.
- Reach™ 2 can hold up to 10 finger prints - this means either 10 of your own or 10 different people.
- Practice with your Reach™ 2 will help build the muscle memory making your Reach second nature.
Biometric Tips
- The sensor works by reading the ridges and valleys of your fingerprint. The more points the better, the more surface area the better. When placing your fingerprint, use medium pressure. If the sensor does not read properly try varying the pressure.
- Charge the unit for a minimum of 1 hour to ensure fingerprints will be registered properly.
Note: Biometrics are not for everyone, if someone has no fingerprint or severely calloused fingers, it iwll not work because the sensor has nothing to read.
Holster Insert
- Unique holster based on your firearm model and make
- The holsters are interchangeable and additional holsters are available for purchase
Charging Mount
- The charging mount is the black piece on the bottom of the Reach&trade: 2 and it also what allows the Reach™ 2 to be mounted.
- The firearm will remain locked into the unit until power is restored and the unit unlocked with a stored fingerprint or manually unlocked with the provided keys.
- Mounting options are flexible. Some examples are bed frame, shelf, desk, ... You can also purchase secondary mounts for other areas or car mount adapters for your vehicle.
- The Reach™2 is designed to stay plugged in. In the event of a power outage, there is a back-up battery with 6 to 8 hours.
- 2 physical keys can be used to manually unlock the unit.
Note: If the battery happens to die:
- The firearm will remain locked into the unit until power is restored and the unit unlocked with a stored fingerprint or manually unlocked with the provided keys.
- Stored fingerprints remain in storage.
