Would only cost a tenth that price if Wayne LaPierre wasn't a traitor to the American republics.

i hear what you're saying but perhaps a bit unkind to LaPierre, and he's certainly no friend of mine..........the NFA was passed in 1934 by FDR, many have come and gone since then, and there are 350 million people in US currently, so plenty of time and opportunity for others to step up and fix it....(and I'd say it's actually only worth 5% of this without the law)

description on their site says semi-auto. Not sure why anyone would pay that much for a semi-auto, or why they would say it is class III.

It's the real McCoy. A class III select-fire submachine gun with a full auto/single selector lever.
The "Action" designation of 'semi-auto' you saw in the description on the seller's website was not correct. They corrected that mistake quickly. Their website now shows the "Action" as "MACHINE GUN"
Based on the smooth barrel and serial number this particular one is a late production model manufactured by Savage

They either have multiple guns or they have been trying to get rid of this one for half a year now.
As of now it’s still at $25k

Actually not a bad price.

Huh, is this an assault rifle? You would think for 25 grand they could scary it up a bit more.

It's a WW2 era sub machine gun. But it's earlier design goes back to the 1920's. It killed plenty of mafia mobsters, cops and an array of different characters from the 20's till viet nam. I think if you want scary let one of your buddies shoot you a round or 2 of 230 grain lead and copper coming at you at 850 ft/second from any of the many 1911 firearms that abound in this great country. Let me know how scared you are then! Oh yeah, with an 11 inch barrel those rounds will be coming out a bit faster too. Good luck with that!

The 25 grand price tag alone makes it plenty scary enough for me.

I rented one in vegas, not much fun. It weighs a ton and fires 45acp, so not much recoil. A full auto gas airsoft is just as much fun.

Cool gun but I would avoid KYgunco, nothing but bad exp with them.

Scuse me. What is a class 3 item and why does it cost 25K? I saw a tank the other day cheaper than this tommy gun. Please advise.

In this economy?

It’s a pre 86 registered machine gun which is the only kind of machine gun the average civilian can own in the US, and there’s only a certain number of those and a high demand, so they are very expensive

Also when you say average civilian, do you mean no other requirements are needed to acquire it aside from 25K? I had no idea any Joblo could purchase a fully auto machine gun in this day and age, cue the dumb and dumber Jeff. So you’re saying there’s a chance....

The average joeblo can have a machine gun for around 7k if they wanted an smg.

He's probably talking about something like this, although this offering comes with a ton of cool upgrades and accessories which will demand a price a bit higher than $7K. If you can find one without all the extras and upgrades and it will be priced between 7K & 8K.

Is it made of gold? The decimal must be in the wrong place for sure...

I would say it was that much because it is a pre-ban machinegun, but they still list it as a class III firearm. The price would be justified if it was granfathered in under the 1964 firearms act.
