There was no coupon code for free shipping over $50, so that's bogus. Shipping is only $5, which is cheap...but...it's not free as described.

Good glad to see Academy put a limit of 5 so hopefully everyone wanting some has a chance at it and the Hoarders / Greedy can’t scoff it all up !

What do you mean *don’t forget about the NRA* and what’s the proof to your comment about credit card ? Thanks

You’re not safe buying anything online. Stock up now. Any parts, ammo, etc purchases will all be monitored, reported and tracked online soon. It’s all by CC. Let’s not forget about the NRA. That free insurance is so they know what you own.

Chihuahua, i read comments about Academy tracking ammo purchases and giving that info to any one who asks. If this is true how about stating the facts on who, how and when they did/do this because IMHO I don’t believe it.

If you have a chance at the 200 round bulk packof these from Academy, grab some. 2 weeks ago, 17cents ppr. Free shipping.

I've never had problems with it feeding my Canik Tp9SA or my Sub2k G2. Dirty? Sure. Like Tula I'd guess. But I clean my gun after every run, so the point is moot.

Cool thing was it(200 bulk pack) came in this awesome little black molle pouch! The .380's did too! Holds 4 stacks of 50. Even velcro on the front molle for your patches. Fairly well made too. Easily worth 5+bucks.

Cool thing is Academy tracks your ammo purchases and gives that info to anyone who asks for it. Good luck.

Ordered mine on Thursday and it was sitting on my front porch Friday. $108 shipped in a day for 500 rounds of PPU. Great deal. Only better deal is perfecta at Walmart,

This is a fair price & decent ammo, would I use it for defense *no* would I use it for plinking *yes* ---------

Side Note - The more you keep paying these high prices for ammo like the rimfire then you will never see the prices go back to reality.

This is the only ammo that I've ever used that on four different guns (XDS, Glock 43, Walther PPQ & PPS) large amounts of flames are very noticeable coming out of the ejection port. Not to mention the extreme amount of nasty dirty black flecks that are blown back on your arm.

After noticing this my buddy and I did some back and forth comparison to the Perfecta 9mm sold at wally world. We noticed that the felt recoil with the Monarch was reduced. I'm no physicist but if I had to guess that's probably due to the loss of force out the ejection port and not down the barrel sending the projectile down range.

And of course everyone by now has heard that Monarch is dirty and makes cleaning your weapon more difficult. If you hadn't, well I can confirm this as a true statement. There was far more tiny "flakes" of shiny metal stuck in all the spots that are difficult get said flakes cleaned from.

Picked up (4) boxes of these and (1) box of the 45 JHP's (14.99) today. Used one of my "10 bucks off on purchases over $50" coupons they handed out last week,,, After Tax,,, 48 bucks,,,,
Did that same routine (3) different times today,,,
All said and done, 600 rds of 9 and 150 of 45 for $144. (FWIW, both the 9 and the 45 have PPU headstamps.)

Don't forget your employee discount.

Seriously, do you think the gun.deals membership needs to be informed every time you make a tiny ammo purchase from Academy?

I commented about the Product and the Vendor.

Have you purchased/used the product? Do you have any information about it?

Does your mom know you're playing on her computer after midnight? =)

No need to fret about the size of my purchase. I 'worry' (?) more about knowing I already have more than I could ever use, and I'm still buying more,,, "Just replenishing" is often my excuse, but we're currently busting clays, so go figure,,,

Have a nice day Jimmy, even if it means trying something new!

Don't worry, Scotty, I'm sure your title as "Stockboy of the Month" will be safe as always when you show your store manager what a fine job you're doing shilling for Academy on this site. Heck, he might even give you a promotion. Is there such a thing as Head Stockboy?

Most folks, but obviously,,,,,,, not all,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,.

Won't ship to CA. This company sucks.

While they most definitely *can* legally ship to the PRK, I don't blame some out-of-state chain that does a LOT of online sales for not wanting to deal with having to verify where every order from the Land of Fruits & Nuts falls in our long list of exceptions [L.A. city vs. county, a patchwork of nonsense in the Bay Area, etc. etc.] Don't blame the company, blame where we live. My escape to Free America is still about 10 years off, barring any unforeseen opportunities...

Please ignore the comments below that say this is in-store only. I just ordered three boxes shipped to my home. No Shipping, a few dollars in tax. If you can't complete the order, try a different browser and check to make sure your state isn't listed on the restricted list in the original post.

I used Chrome, checked out as a Guest using PayPal and live in Tennessee, if that helps any.

If you manage to find any of these in Academy you might want to consider buying a lottery ticket. Went to three Academys today, and they all had these sitting right next to a box of 50 WWB marked 45$.

Anyone know the FPS on these?

How hard are the primers?

The box says 1181 fps 356 ft lb

$26.97 for 150 rounds shipped is a slightly better deal than the cheapest 9mm ammo at my local Walmart (Federal aluminum). I've had good luck with Monarch and Academy so far. I hope that continues.

something is wrong with this online deal listed on a website that we access through the internet. no shipping option? oh, that's cuz its in stores only, "select stores only" to boot. good for local shoppers, but why the F is this posted here?

It has shipping options for me. Are you in one of the states listed above where it can't be shipped? If not, the problem is with your browser. Works just fine in Chrome for me.

Yes, it is *very* weird, and extremely off-putting. About the only negative thing I can find about gun.deals, tho', so I'm not complaining! ;)
