This thing looks badass. Gun.deals is the worst thing that has happened to my bank account.
Agreed on all accounts. Had to get one, i dont care if its made out of play-doh. The closest replica to the real thing, and finally in 9mm. Fun gun.
Rumormill claims that eventually folding stocks will be available, with proper paperwork of course.
I agree this looks really cool but I'm somewhat turned off by the "Zamak 5 with Polymer Accents" frame construction. Zamak is a higher-end pot metal but it's still a pot metal, not something I would look for in a $600 gun.
I would guess that it's stronger than a polymer frame of a handgun. This big heavy thing is only in 9mm. Most would assume it would be plenty strong for this. As for a '$600 gun' almost anyone would argue this isn't a masse produced handgun, which many of them still cost $600+. It's more about how many parts need to be made and process is used. I have a Larue LT-104-ish mount. It has a couple moving levers, doesn't shoot, and it's only made of aluminum; but it costs like $200...
All fair points. I would prefer an aluminum frame to a zinc alloy but I understand the manufacturer and importer have to make money in order for this to be a viable offering. My guess is that they expect to sell only a modest number, hence the decision to run with a cast zinc alloy frame. Regardless, I have to admit I am edging toward getting one of these (even at $600) just for the fun factor. It would be a nice companion for my P38.
These look cool, but I saw a few videos on YouTube that said they were Jammamatics. Also I heard ATI said they are not ever releasing any type of stock for this.
Hopefully a sig brace or the like will come out
I just want to see if these work all that well. Then I'll get one.
