The Vortex Viper PST (Precision Shooting Tactical) Rifle Scope comes with features that are typically only included on scopes in a much higher price range. The optics are fully multi-coated and deliver beautiful detail and color while transmitting 95% of available light. The tactical turrets have audible clicks which allow for precise adjustments to windage and elevation and the tube is purged with Argon gas to eliminate internal fogging and extend the life of the optics. Protective lens covers and a lifetime factory warranty are included.

To anyone that can afford an optic more than $400 dollars and has the pleasure of using a FFP LPVO, or variable in general and shoots say the “.223, .243, .308 and so on” and can see the dope after 300 yards, yes a FFP optic is superior as far as accuracy, if your someone who shoots within a 100 yards a SFP will be fine. I’m not gonna pretend like 2nd focal plane is as useful or accurate when it is not, and with good range time anyone will discover that. Please ignore the sorry assess who try to justify there purchases with out knowing any better. Lol

Waste of effort on the manufacture, should be a FFP, but this in SFP is useless unless you don’t mind having to maxed out on magnification to use the Mrad for ranging and estimation. Your much better off buying a FFP Athlon 2-10 for 500 off eBay.

FFP doesn't work well for low power optics. Makes the reticle at low power hard to see. Also, this is the Gen 1 that has been out of production for years, so it was made before FFP hype wagon. These must be new old stock. They're 10 oz lighter than Gen 2. Get of your high horse and actually go shooting. You might learn something you can't on the forums. FFP isn't always better.

I am 100 percent positive I have more range time than some disgruntled illiterate horse riding argumentative idiot that obviously doesn’t own a FFP or know how to use on. As far as forums it sounds like your the one depending on OTHER peoples findings. You can be as mad an upset as you want but FFP is superior and by function and accuracy. FFP is completely usable at 100 yards and in. You’ve given me a good laugh.

Yeah FFP does work in lower power optics and better in my opinion . If you’ve learned from experience at a range or just shooting past 200 yards even the flattest trajectory projectiles have dope after 300 yards so your SFP optic is useless unless maxed out on magnification. To me it sounds like “1213” is shooting .22lr with a SFP expecting everyone to be shooting rn r same with in a 100 yards.

haha. my back yard is literally the west desert. I grew up shooting rifle off my back porch. maybe you have more time on the "range" because i dont shoot at ranges. I have immediate access it nearly endless open land. So I know a little about extended range. unless you're a fulltime carbine class instructor, you have not shot more than me. why are you so butt hurt? did I strike a nerve with some truth? Why would you be shooting past the 300 yards without your LPVO maxed anyway? Also a FFP reticle demarcation are so close at low power because it's so small human error will be more of a factor than holdover. Are you telling me that you bench rest an LPVO, but leave it at low power? What are you doing? Also the point of an LPVO is that it's good for fast and close shooting, but apparently you don't do much of that or you'd know how use FFP is at lowest power. Unless you're a competition shooter, it's a gimmick. sure, everyone is a competition ninja online. I've had FFP scopes before they were a popular fad for the armchair elitists. that's how I know what they're good at and what they're not.

I’m sure if you daydream it enough with out actually trying to put anything on paper or groupings then your SFP is a do-it all magic maker in your “desert back yard” as if anyone else doesn’t have access to BLM land in there local state. Lmao. I’m sure you think all the BDC on said “SFP” is calibrated for all calibers and projectiles im sure as well, so I’d say this argument is over unless you care to further explain your reasoning for sounding asinine

I’m sure it is, your back yard to your double wide right? Your one of those guys that aren’t good at it and say you are. You literally are smoking something more potent than cannabis to believe the foolery you’ve typed out. “Unless your a competition shooter” most competition’s take place under 100 yards. Everything you say you would illiterate and un knowledgeable on.
