Palmetto State Armory has taken the next step in the evolution of its line of AK firearms with the PSAK-47 GF4 Series. Made in America with a 100% Full Lifetime Warranty.
The GF4 series will take the proven success of the GF3 and add an in-house made 16" Cold Hammer Forged Phosphate barrel which has been chrome lined and finished off with a 1:9.5" twist rate. Also, the GF4 features a new Enhanced Polished Trigger (EPT) fire control group which creates a very smooth and crisp break on the trigger pull. As with other PSA AK products, the GF4 comes with a forged carrier, forged bolt, and a forged front trunnion. The rifle is finished off with a PSA Classic Polymer Handguard, Classic Polymer stock, and Classic AK-47 polymer grip.
Rifles must be shipped to a valid, current Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL). Please have the shipping address of your preferred FFL before placing your order. Grabbed one last night after many days of research. If you want one, these tend to go out and in stock every few days. $200ish over normal prices, but isn't bad compared to every other AK out there . Reviews put it on par with top-tier AK's like arsenal. I sold a $500 N-pap with a single stack magwell for $1000, so I can stomach the $200 ;) American made, from new parts. Plus Life time warranty (for what it's worth). 1 Year on most of the imported, frankenstein ones.
GF5 has a ALG AKT Enhanced Trigger With Lightning Bow, added "FN"- FN Cold Hammer Forged Chrome Moly Vanadium Steel Chrome Lined barrel. and added a cleaning rod $80ish more in price
GF4 over GF3 : 4 has a PSA CHF Chrome lined Moly Vanadium barrel for $100 more in price
They started making them a couple of years back, but they have ramped up production recently . People like them for the prices but most people AK buffs say buy imports (Zastava, my favorite)

Forged? Looks like a stamped receiver to me.
Forged refers to the barrel not receiver. CHF = cold hammer forged
That's silly. They should advertise it as having a CHF barrel then, not just as "forged". There are multiple forged parts on AKs.

Its PSA, its good quality and they stand behind their shit. I have a GF3 with easily over 2k rds and its performed flawless and is one of my most accurate AK’s. I cant speak on the Gf4, the only difference is the barrels. You cant go wrong with a PSA Ak imho. Get one while you can!
2k rounds is what, two range visits? Put 20k rounds through it and let us know. Lightweight shooter, couldn't handle the round count.
The elites say buy imports. They might get banned and they are high quality. the lowest being a WASR imported by Century. I got one. not the most accurate thing. Picked up a ZPAPM70 a few weeks ago in all polymer for 999. 2 MOA. In my research the PSA is "OK" if you have to buy american. the ones to avoid are Century USA made AK and anything by IO, riley and some others. The Arsenal and Klash Koncern are ok along with PSA.
