I'm afraid that lack of stock drives prices. This is a universal economic concept. Worse, proposed legislation that they are trying to ram through will make it even harder to even get what ammo there is. Criminalize gun owners is next.

So as a new owner of two rifles in 7.62x39 (which i built, no parts from PSA) what do i do for ammo then? I see a lot of complaining but havent seen a solution. Short of reloading.. what does one in my position do? I have seen a lot of prices higher than this. Still doesnt make it right to rip people off and price gouge when people are down and out, even be it less than the next guy.. its still ripping off the consumer. On that principal alone one doesnt support PSA.
But what does someone in my position do, just not buy ammo and hope by some miracle prices decline? That doent seem realistic... Help me out here im all ears and willing to listen and consider or implement whats reccomended..

If you are near a Bass Pro or Academy Sports store find out when they get shipments of ammo and be there early. Web searches are an option.
The 40 round boxes of Tula offered by PSA on this gundeals page are currently in stock for purchase @ $15.99 (PPR $0.40) from this seller:
https://www.midsouthshooterssupply.com/item/00112ul076240/tula-7point62x39mm-122-grain-full-metal-jacket-40-rounds-25-box-per-case...
I put 10 boxes in my cart - after shipping + tax the price came to $184.99 (PPR $0.4624) - I'm located in GA, final price for you may be higher or lower?
I found that ammo by using this website: https://ammoseek.com/...
google the phrase; "ammo search engine" or some such and you'll find other like sites
I've seen a few decent local deals on armslist.com where you're basically paying flippers in your area to drive around and stand in line for you at Bass Pro, Academy...etc. - Good luck with the new rifles! Shoot those rascals!

This isn't even a deal with current prices. You can get M67 on strippers for this price. Tula ammo is bottom rung stuff.

Outside of "Politics" and "business Ethics" arguments, comparatively speaking this is one of the lowest price ammo I have seen in a while. Obviously I have my own opinions and beliefs but this isnt the place to argue those and I will not get sucked into pointless banter and arguing any longer. This is "GunDeals" not Reddit or W.A.R.S.... I will respect your opinion and rights but consider what I am saying. I think we all can agree the fact we love our firearms and our rights to own them.

isn't it sad? dealers/gun store owners on youtube say that manufactures/wholesalers did not rise prices on ammo but somehow PSA finds it cool to sell 8$ TULA 9mm 50rd/box for 28$. For a reference, 7.62x39 for 40rd could be found for 5$less (see bellow)

The link says $17 for 40, which is a few bucks cheaper than $20, but it's also not in stock.

Mechanic, After what they have been charging I won’t buy from them any more, but I would NEVER support Sleepy J0 throwing any business out no matter what they charge. A vote for Sleepy is a vote for the destruction of the Constitution & Second A. Just watch and see what’s coming from this administration be it Constitution, Economy, Jobs, immigration, law & order - it’s not going to be good.

Online Gun retailers like PSA are the most unethical people. If Biden throws them out of business I would only support it.

You must have never done business with Optics planet or Sportman’s guide if you’re saying that about PSA but not the other two. Way more disingenuous than PSA. Atleast PSA doesn’t accept backorders they ultimately cancel 6 months later.

Ikr, I am waiting a year already for my firing pin from Optics planet “back order”... that was in stock at a time of sale,

.... a long story short , online gun retailers with exempt of a few like Brownells are greedy , a way too greedy , they would nickel and dime customers and they make fortunes on politicians like Biden and Obama. Those sell more guns than republicans like Trump. Seriously, unelected Biden is the most pro gun politician ever, as because of him, more guns and ammo was sold just in the last 6 months than when in 5 years it was Trump. And the same is true for Sandy hook hoax of 2008 when Obama was the president. But who eventually ban bump stocks ? Trump ... Obama had done nothing like that.

Kung Duh Panda sounds like one of them cry baby liberals that bash those who complain about the ammo rip off prices, possibly one of them that love paying rip off prices and taking it in the @ ? — Makes me wonder if it works for a living or collects a check.

You have got to be a special kind of stupid to pay 150% over retail. I understand basic economics , the laws of supply and demand. These prices however are getting way out of control.
