That's a bore alignment, not where the actual POI will be. Yes it will be close at the distance in the video (and is a great way to get on paper prior going to the range) but anyone who understands bullets do not act like lasers will know this method will NOT get you anywhere near zeroed at 25 yards or greater. Yeah, you might hit a pie plate at 50 yards however you'll miss almost every time at 100. I know he talks about "one shot" but that does not factor in the the mechanical limits of the firearm or the HUMAN. A "zero" is not a true set point but the overall AVERAGE between a group of shots. Even match grade setups on strapped to sleds have variation from impact to impact.

We could have an entire another discussion about shooting cold barrel or not, the 'loading' the bipod, how different bullet weights dramatically change the point of impact, muzzle devices too, etc....none of those factors would change where the bore is 'looking.'

Zeroing a rifle can be a great time to practice shooting fundamentals, something that a person trying to save 3 rounds might desperately need.
