100%. Most people in this world have very little use for an expensive pistol caliber carbine, and these hi-points have a reputation for being quite reliable. I've seen these used in some pretty poor neighborhoods as home defense tools because the people can afford them, anyone in the family can operate them, they're cheap to feed/practice with, and are quite reliable to top it off. One particular example I remember is a grandmother that successfully used one to fend off 3 home invaders in Detroit.
Not to mention: until I saw this posting I had no idea they made a 10mm version. An easy to stow $290 semi-auto that's 7 lbs total and is in a round trusted by back-country Alaskan guides for grizzly defense takes it from a great inexpensive 2-legged predator home defense tool to a great inexpensive outdoor 4-legged predator defense tool. Excellent.
Yup !!! I own several carbines and they are big fun. Every time I allow someone to shoot one of my carbines they want one too. My favorite is the 40 S&W as the ammo is cheap and powerful.
Was just looking at the .45 version that is back in stock @ KYGunCo when I saw this 10 MM version.Looks like a decent price for the Carbine but I think ammo availability may be an issue for me.

The person who thumbed down this deal is a moron... Jumping on the bandwagon hate of hipoints without probably ever even handling these carbines... Sure the handguns are crap but they are reliable. However these carbines for the money are actually great little carbines. They run well, reliable, little recoil and within 100 yards are quite accurate. The biggest plus is the price and reliability.. I would have zero issues using one as a home defense or truck gun. They also are quite fun to shoot. Ugly as sin but a great option for those on a budget or need a beater for the truck. Good deal here too.
