Not to beat a dead horse, but if you have not seen these, it is basically the same thing as two BX-25 round mags permanently coupled together.

No 50 rounds continuous, no space savings, no weight savings, no reduced mag cost, and more difficult to store/handle than two BX-25 mags... there is just no practical argument to support these mags unless you are speculating for some panic shortage due to the technical 50 round capacity.

It's unlike Ruger to release such a stupid product but this really is a dumb one. I see absolutely zero reason to buy them unless at some point they cost a lot less than two BX-25 mags. Might begin to make sense at $30 a pop...

And now they're $30 a pop. CDNN, (29.88), Sportsmens Guide will Match and Cabela's has them on sale if you want to pay $40. The good thing about them is you put one mag in the gun, shoot and then just flip it over. You don't have to carry another magazine and then carry the empty one. I think they're really convenient.

they are thinner than 2 bx25s

I couldn't agree more. I have no use for these at any price. Just too much hanging out of the gun.
I will however take as many regular BX25's as Ruger wants to send me!!

CDNN has them for $49.99 and flat $10 shipping up to 10 items I think. Ordered two on Tuesday and will be here this Tuesday so not real slow and in stock... They also have BX25 for $29.99...

They have the 25 & 50 round in stock at http://www.cdnninvestments.com/...

Cheaper than Cabelas!

With flat shipping of 9.99 or free with orders over 100.00

Just ordered 5 of the 50 rounders.

not a bad deal if you order at least 3 of the 25 rounders. I would be in but don't need that many.

With the single mags I found the best price buying them straight from Ruger:
http://shopruger.com/10_22-BX-25-Magazine/productinfo/90361/...

They are backorder, but I ordered 3 and it took about 60 days. I got them after the long wait. From Ruger they run $31.95/ea, and shipping to TN for 3 was $12, so $107.85/3 was $35.95. It was not super-cheap, and not fast...but they were going for $60+ at GunBroker when I placed the order.

That's not bad...though in the last week they have shown up on two sites at $29.99 non back order. I was able to get 2 from Dunn's and I also picked one up last week from Academy for $29.95

You are better off with regular BX-25 magazines. They sell a coupler on ebay for $8 to couple two bx-25.

These are bulkier and heavier. I bought one and the rounds got stuck in it. Had to take it back. At least if you have multiple bx-25's coupled together you won't have a giant magazine that is half functional

I got one about 3 weeks ago. I was just finally able to shoot it this past week. I do like it. It functions 100 percent. Typical of a Ruger factory magazine. But as others have said it is a little bulky and a little heavy when loaded. But nothing that impedes the fun in any way. I don't hunt and I'm certainly not going to use this while bench resting the gun, so I just use this for blasting away and having fun, and it does that job perfectly. It's a keeper for me.

I ordered two of these last time they were in stock but returned them. I found them to big very bulky and very heavy when fully loaded. I just ordered two of the BX-25 (25 round) magazines when they were in stock at Cabelas. I think they are much more practical and will not throw off the balance of the rifle. They come in stock once in a while but sell out quickly so you have to check the website often. I have had good luck browsing early in the morning before work. Same with .22 ammo. It does come in stock at Cabelas and at pretty reasonable prices and $5.00 shipping if you use Cabelas Visa card. Keep checking the website often.

single bx-25s are in stock right now at Cabelas, but price is a bit high - $41 - https://gun.deals/product/ruger-bx-25-1022-magazine-2499-cabelas-black-friday-2012...

For those wondering: The magazine is one-piece. It is not two magazines joined into one with pins or clips to hold them together. I saw one at a gun show and it seemed rather large and bulky in comparison to a 10/22. My personal preference would be the single mags.

I bought one too. They are now sold out.

Don't forget the Cabela's Gift cards available here.

https://gun.deals/product/50-cabelas-gift-card-12-discount-44-or-25-gift-card-22...

Bought 3 cards and 2 mags.

Considering these are actually 2 mags coupled that is 4 BX-25s. So with CLUBFIVE promo ended up putting 5.07 on the card for about $108 total for the 2. That is like $27 for each BX-25 mag if you don't mind them connected, not bad considering the times.

1)When both filled and installed the gun weight is now off center
2) Now you need big thick mag pouches hanging off your chest/waist
3) what do you do when one side breaks its lips? (buy a single and scavenge parts?)

The only thing that would salvage this is if you can them as two singles.

Plus imagine you simple lose it. Just drop it somewhere or forget. Almost a 75$ mag. It used to be a time not long ago you can buy a used 22LR rifle for this money.

Is it possible to uncouple them ? I guess no.

Yeah... not the greatest deal out there, but I have not picked any of these up yet and I live in Colorado. With how hard it is to get these, it's now or never for people like me.
