Even if this is a legit SOG, the price is still not a deal. Cabelas has or had this for $14.99 just a couple weeks back before Thanksgiving.
I'd bet a dollar that a Chinese knife made of low grade aus6 isn't something Navy Seals use. MK3 or Mk4 Ontario.
Maybe it's just me being paranoid, but I own a SOG SEAL pup that I purchased directly from SOG, and the knife being shown here and on Amazon isn't the same as the knife I have. Not sure if SOG decided to change the design somewhere along the way, or if the one being offered here is a knock-off.
Mr.I, your not being paranoid. When the Pup version first came out it had a serrated edge on the top of the knife, this version does not.
I almost wanna say this is a 'budget' version of the Pup knife.
I own the Seal Tech 2000 which is the full size version of this knife and could not be more happy. Its a well put together knife that serves its purpose well.
The 'Pup' version for $32 is a steal IMO. A must buy in my book.
The only likes so far are from 'anonymous'. Where do these anonymous votes come from anyway?
I picked up one last year for $18... Wait for a better deal.
Advice... stay away from tools and knives, among other things, that are made in china (taiwan).
