These are some of the funnest little .22's out there to have a day at the range with. I had bought the 1st generation called the "GSG-5SD" it was their special edition anniversary model. What I liked over the current models were those originals had metal lowers and upper receivers, not like the plastic ones here. They also were an almost identical copy of the HK. The only downside I found out the hard way was the original factory "finish" sort of a rippled hammered look coating literally just wiped off with gun cleaner! To my horror, I had disassembled the gun a d laid it out on a towel and started to clean. I left a bit of cleaner to soak in a few areas that had alot of carbon from cheap ammo. Then after 5-10 minutes I picked up the receiver parts and they were stuck to the towel and all the finish stayed on that towel. On top of that the cleaner also melted and discolored the fore grip... seeings how at that time, I paid $600 for it, I was sick. Luckily the company paid to have me ship it back to them and replaced all the parts with a solvent safe finish and new foregrip, then sent it back in about 12 days. But I digress, that was many years ago and now even though these current models are every bit as fun, I miss the one I had. Sort of the one I wished I hadnt sold....
