Apples & Oranges comment is spot on. This Para 14.45 is a smoking buy at CDNN's offering price and, yes, the pistol is loaded to the hilt with quality features and parts. I paid a heck of a lot more than this amount and (of course) kick myself when I think about it because CDNN competitors all have their prices well in excess of $800. My wife carries STI's Elektra 9mm with the highly polished slide & Lady Pink grips (I know, I know) and loves it. I also own the STI GM in SSteel with a C-More sight and mount that I waited over 12 months to arrive (AND $3650+ !!). Quite frankly, I enjoy pleasure shooting with the Para more than my bad-boy STI and the 45acp is cheaper to shoot vs the .38Super ammo for the STI. TracktorCrasher is right when advising that one must have average to large hands to control the Para as the girth of the handgrip is VERY formidable. Great gun & Great price (even without the red-dot setup). Enjoy your Para's !!

I don't know, STI the gun company with the most shooting championships on record has a plastic trigger.Im not saying this is an STI but don't knock it till ya try it.

Got mine this summer...love it. the bad, hammer safety doesn't work at all, and when firing, thumb safety can kick up and render itself to safety mode when you are expecting a quick follow up shot. thinking I paid a bit extra for the quality of a "bench fit" 1911...thought I got ripped a bit when I got it. offer less than that! still a fine shootin weapon though.

Better yet offer $930. Just bought one then saw this.

That is one big hunk of 45ACP! I still think I'd rather have a Glock 21 for about $300 less.

That's comparing apples to oranges though. I have a Pro Custom 14.45 and it's one of the few guns that I'll never get rid of. It's one hell of a 1911 for the money, you cannot beat it. Adjustable sights, high capacity, match grade, enlarged magwell, aluminum grips, skeleton trigger/hammer, everything you could want. I LOVE this gun and highly recommend anyone to buy it. You won't be disappointed unless you have small hands.

Good Price but Para Double Stack's can have issues. Single stacks are very good and their customer service is excellent.
