Evidently yes you can run pmags...after you mod them by removing the 2 "shoulder ribs". Here's a video of how to do it....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YexJXwW-R6c

Fair point, but I doubt a significant number of people want to modify their PMAGs to the point that they may not work with 5.56/.223 rounds any longer. Plus, many states require 5-round mag limits for hunting. There are no 5-round options for this case size in a PMAG. I'd rather spend $16 on a mag I don't have to modify and can use for hunting rather than $8-9 on a magazine I have to modify, may/may not actually work correctly, and I can't use in a rifle I solely purchased/built for hunting.
