I think they are going to discontinue these. They have several new 3inch models coming out.

Have had several of the model 85 five shots and still have a stainless one. Tempted to try the 6 shot and if it's good sell or trade off the 5 shot.

Man just spen $50-100 more and get a S&W or ruger. Unless this is only for range use... which would not make sense if so then size wouldn't matter so then get a heavier revolver. That said i have a taurus 44 mag i use as a back up when dangerous game hunting. But that has never had an issue in the 14 years i have owned it. These new ones seem to suck

I liked em better when they were 5 shots. Triggers seemed better too, but overall still a good value. $230 free ship isn’t bad as long as you ffl isn’t gouging you on the transfer.

This is a good deal, BUT--I bought two of these and the one did not have a crown (ANY!) on the barrel's end. Just sawed off and milled flat. Sent it back to TAURUS INC, who then sent it to their subsidiary, Heritage Firearms, who did a HORRIBLE job of cutting a crown on it. Yeah--these are "belly guns" so you won't be shooting at 50 yards--but, still--YOU look at the two muzzles here and decide yourself if TAURUS USA has good QC. Me--all things considered--I'd go with a S&W after all this headache and crappy result.

Excellent little revolvers! Perfect for home defense or CCW.
