This Grid Defense Barreled Upper Receiver group is an affordable and reliable way to shoot 7.62x39 ammo out of an AR-15 pattern rifle. This 7.62x39 upper receiver group features a 10.5” barrel constructed from 4150 Chrome Moly steel with a durable black Nitride finish inside and out for chrome level hardness without potential for accuracy issues. The 1:10 twist rate is optimal for the heavier grain .30 caliber ammunition and the carbine length gas system keeps your rifle running even after getting dirty. It also features a heavy barrel profile and an A2 style flash hider attached with 5/8x24 threads for compatibility with aftermarket muzzle devices. The entire upper receiver and handguard is finished with a black hardcoat anodized finish for protection from corrosion. Your almost ready to head to the range. All you need is a 7.62x39 BCG, charging handle, and a complete Mil-Spec lower with pistol buffer tube and compatible magazine.

The Mil-Spec upper and free float handguard are made from 7075-T6 aluminum and the receiver comes assembled with the forward assist and dust cover. The free float handguard features M-LOK attachment slots as well as relief cuts to reduce weight and increase airflow around the barrel. The middle section of the top picatinny rail has been removed to further reduce weight and allow for a more comfortable grip with your thumb clamped over the top. The front section still has a picatinny rail for a solid mounting point for your front BUIS to ensure that it will retain zero. This M-LOK handguard also features QD sling swivel slots on both sides for right or left handed use.
