The Thureon Defense Pistol Caliber Competition Carbine is an AR-15 chambered in 9mm Luger with a host of enhancements that make it a very accurate, easy to shoot, soft-recoiling rifle for competition, personal defense, or just shootin’ fun. It uses readily available 9mm Glock® pistol magazines, so if you already own a Glock®, you don’t even need to buy spare mags for your PCCC.

Use the money you would have spent on mags to get new accessories to mount on the PCCC’s extended 15" handguard with eight rows of KeyMod® slots that give you the maximum versatility for putting the accessories you want exactly where you want them. The extra-long handguard also means you can position your support hand way our front for excellent control to "drive" the carbine quickly from one target to the next.

Your Thureon Pistol Caliber Competition Carbine comes from the factory fitted with other popular AR-15 upgrades, including a Magpul® MOE® buttstock and a slim Magpul® MOE K™ pistol grip. An oversized mag release ensures a positive mag drop on the first try, enabling fast reloads - a critical advantage in competition. Way out front is a custom Thureon Defense compensator with three topside vent holes that redirect gas to counteract whatever muzzle rise and felt recoil the 9mm round might impart to your PCCC.

Thureon ships each Pistol Caliber Competition Carbine with clean, consistent trigger with a lighter-weight pull than a standard mil-spec trigger. If you want to upgrade further, the PCCC will accept any trigger that fits a mil-spec AR-15 lower receiver.

All the bells-n-whistles in the world do no good on a competition carbine IF the gun is not reliable, and Thureon certainly did not cut corners there! While the PCCC is compatible with a wide range of both aftermarket and "mil-spec" AR-15 parts, the receiver is not just a modified AR-15 receiver. It has been designed from the ground up to control the cartridge’s movement from the magazine to the chamber, with attention to the dynamics of both feeding and ejection to ensure that the PCCC easily handles a broad range of 9mm Luger pistol ammo, rather than just a few pet loads. The super short-cycling blowback action is robust and, most importantly, R E L I A B L E, a necessary feature of any competition rifle.
