Crappy retailer for their gouging history and 21 bucks for shipping? Really? I can get 1000 rounds with cheaper shipping at other sites.

just picked up this and an awesome chinese made drum mag! 1k rounds and a drum for $950...not bad during this panic!

$600-700 drum mags were a steal during the panic earlier this year....

FUCK LOWER THAN DIRT!!!!

If you justify buying from them now that they got away with screwing us all year, you are just as much a scumbag as they are.

knowing what's a deal and what isn't hardly makes anyone a scumbag. i made it through both panics without overpaying for anything because i know what things are worth and wait until i can get the price i want. if that price comes up at CTD so be it. That makes me smart with my money, not a scumbag. I don't agree with the gouging but i just don't buy it, I don't get all butthurt about it. If everyone else did that no one would be able to gouge. Do yourselves a favor and prepare when things are cheap and don't be in that position next time.

10 thumbs up! As if I said it myself. There are no gougers, just dumbass consumers stupid and fearful enough to pay thier prices. How else do you explain an asshat willing to pay more than .08cpr for bulk .22. If no one was stupid enough to buy it, they wouldn't be selling it, and sensible folks like us wouldn't have to wait it out for a fucking year. It is what it is. End of story.

I'd never buy anything from CTD again after the last 2 times it stabbed it's customers in the back. I don't care if CTD becomes the only vendor in America with something in stock, I'd rather go without than give them another penny.

gouged hard, and now they gotta deep discount things to compete. karmas a bitch.

23cpr is hardly discounting deep. This stuff is 27cpr in walmart in boxes of 20 (in stock every time I'm there). I would expect a discount on a bulk purchase from an internet retailer, otherwise why bother?

Would you now? Just not on .22, right shit dick?

I just logged on to make the same comment, you beat me to it bobslob. I understand the supply and demand and economics of the whole ammo shortage thing. But these turds took it to the next level of crazy ridiculous prices. I expect them to start selling certain ammo at very cheap prices now that they have profited so greatly the last few months. They will do this to try and recoup their customer base. Anyone with any pride and smarts will move on and buy from another more respectable retailer.

Lol. The king of GOUGERS. May be a good deal, but I will never EVER buy squat from them.

Gouge on, CTD. They still want $119.19 for 325rd can of Federal .22lr, so they haven't learned a thing. Bobslob sums it up perfectly. I guess CTD will only offer us a deal when something is plentiful. Sorry CTD, I'll be buying from SGAmmo and Aim Surplus, people who didn't screw us through the craze. I will gladly pay an extra couple of dollars if necessary to support honorable retailers.

CTD was terrible about jacking up their prices a while back. Gouging? Sure, but that just capitalism. It was a business decision and one that certainly lost them some customers. If you personally don't want to buy from a company like that, go right ahead. If you want to complain about the free market and capitalism, I hear Venezuela is beautiful.

Me, I picked up 1000 rounds for under 25.5c a round with shipping and do not feel a bit guilty about it.

I spent about 2grand with ctd in the 18 months prior to the craze. I even chose to support ctd, since they were fellow Texans, by paying the state sales tax, when I could have bought the same stuff out of state for the same or slightly less. I emailed ctd around feb or march telling them they were losing valued customers because of their outrageous ammo pricing.... received a reply to the effect of, "thank you for your input, i'll pass it along". I'm sure hundreds or even thousands of fellow shooters did the same. Our advice obviously fell on deaf ears. My future business will go to Aim Surplus, Palmetto State Armory, SGAmmo, Cabelas, and even Midway before I spend another dime with ctd.

no thanks ctd. remember their 90 round snail mags for $700? they'll never get another sale from me. i'll happily buy from their liquidation sale when they go out of business though.

wow tough to beat. All you CTD haters seriously you must have a short memory. What fn company wasnt selling $100 22 bricks and $2000 and up ARS. All you people that bought at all the ridiculous prices just fed the fire instead of wait 6 months i can find ammo anywhere now at reasonable prices with the exception of 22 is still hit and miss

Aim didn't raise their prices much..Walmart didn't...Their is reasonable profit and their is gouging during times of panic...CTD did the later...and one should vote with ones wallet....I vote fu CTD

Well put. These guys STILL fail to understand the principles of capitalism. If IDIOTS weren't buying at insane prices, they wouldn't be selling at insane prices. There are no gougers, just dumb ass consumers who inflate the market out of fear and ignorance.

Personally, I can't wait to get a dozen or so PS4's to throw on ebay with overnight shipping 2 days before Christmas. 'll love watching the bids increase as procrastinating parents with more money than sense cut eachothers throats by bidding them up over $2000 so they don't have to hear their spoiled, snot nosed brats cry Christmas morning.

If I've learned anything since this debacle started, it's that the permeating ignorance of the typical American consumer is a safer investment than the stock market....and I'm all over it.

Capitalism does not preclude loyalty. Wise consumers give their business to vendors who choose to respect their customer base rather than exploit short term circumstances for a quick buck.

It all comes down to business strategy. Fly by night hucksters, such as you claim to be, have little to lose by taking advantage of circumstances. Long term businesses attempting to maintain a reputation have a great deal to lose. I, for one, hope my fellow Slickgunners have the fortitude to decimate CTD's business because of the course they chose.

Well said...gouging is not keeping your customers best interest in mind...thus not garnering loyalty one bit....cheers

Overtigo,

With all due respect, we have long memories and many of us will not soon forget the FACT that Cheaper Than Dirt is one of the most, if not THE most unethical firearm merchant in existence.

I don't know if your a shill or what, but Cheaper than Dirt is also BIPOLAR. During one of the horrific Mass shooting, Cheaper than Dirt was playing dirty pool right from the get go.

They figured making a big announcement to not sell certain AR's like the Bushmaster would be good for sales. This ploy backfired on Cheaper Than Dirt and their sales suffered as many consumers boycotted CTD.

So during the great ammo shortage caused by panic buying thanks to POTUS and his ding dong beliefs, many merchants had to raise ammo prices as their suppliers also raised the prices due to the demand and shortage.

Cheaper than Dirt raised their prices on ammo like all the others, except Cheaper than Dirt unlike most of the others; tripled and quadrupled their pricing, taking advantage of the situation and I vowed never to do business with Cheaper than Dirt ever again.

Many many people share this sentiment in regard to Cheaper Than Dirt

Short memory my @ss...

Not all and cheaper than dirt went above and beyond the bs prices by pulling there gun sales due to the pressure of the antigun movement until it settled down...

Not tough to beat when you add shipping. Spotsmansguide has been near this price shipped. Much better company & deal IMHO.

Funny thing is all the companies that were not screwing people over, people were screwing them over by buying shit a regular price and selling it on gunbroker for a jacked up price so in my book it goes both ways.Same goes for the cheap walmart ammo and people walking around gun shows and tripling there price, its sad but true!!!!!! Supply and Demand........

Well, I guess everyone feels the same way regarding CTD, and the way they ass raped consumers during
The craze. A couple of years ago I bought from them, but after I saw what their true colors were, I blackballed them forever. They could sell a $1 bill for a nickel, and I wouldn't buy from these shitbags.
I remember seeing PMAGS on their site during the panic for $100. This is a lame attempt on their part
To try and win back customers. It won't work. And don't think for a minute they won't try and gang rape
Customers again if there is another panic. There were many vendors that were very fair through the panic, and they will be getting all my dollars. We all know who they are. As for cheaper than DICKS, I hope your business fails because of your predatory antics during the craze.

CTD can suck a fat one!!!

I will NEVER spend a penny with this retailer. I hope these blood sucking D-Bags go belly up.

Just a few months ago these pricks were gouging customers on a daily. Now the tide has changed and they have burnt a lot of customers.

Don't think for a second that CTD wouldn't start gouging again if they had a chance.

I never bought from CTD because of the prices. Midway is another company I do not usually buy from. On more than one occasion I saw that they wanted to charge ridiculous shipping costs. $18.00 for a 500 rd box of 22s.

I don't care if it was three cents per round. I wouldn't give them my business under any circumstances. Leave it in stock and let them suck it.

Don't forget the $150 bricks of .22!!!!

I see they have came down to earth and are only charging $100 for CCI tactical 375 round that I paid $24 for at wal mart....

Screw you CTD!
