It's a sweet little gun once you get the pipe off it - only secret is finding the screw before you start grinding. It's welded/painted over. The sights don't work with the welded faux can. It's a non-standard thread so you'll have to get a protective cap or adapter. I forget the spec, but you're not going to screwing standard 22 goodies on the existing threads.
I didn't have any trouble finding mags - Not sure if they were Mec-Gar, but no feed issues.
All-in-all, it's one of my favorite 22 pistols with plenty of old-school style.
Not sure about the provenance of this batch, but when I got mine (J&G, maybe?) they were rumored to Mossad assassin turn-ins.
Plenty of videos out demonstrating faux suppressor removal. Good times looking for extra mags. The fake suppressor allows importation.
Yep got one tiny screw holding the suppressor on not to bad to remove with a grinder or something similar
Faux, as long as you're not doing something stupid with it should be fine.
