This is just another example of a dealer putting lipstick on a pig. If they were truthful, and told you this is an overpriced OEM replacement trigger, they know you would go shopping for a better price. If you are wanting a enhanced trigger at minimal cost ( under $40 shipped ), https://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/triggers-parts/triggers/ar-15-trigger-assembly-nickel-teflon-prod120778.aspx?avad=48247_b21487601&aid=35987&cm_mmc=affiliate-_-Itwine-_-Avantlink-_-datafeed&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_source=Avantlink&utm_content=NA&utm_campaign=Itwine...
Today the price dropped to $32.79 when I put it in my cart, shipping was $4.95 making the total $37.74. Thousands of these Schmid Tool Nickel Teflon have been sold by numerous companies to include PSA, RTB, AP, and Brownell's. At under $95 shipped the LaRue MBT-2s is greatly under priced, and well worth the extra investment. Take a little time to read some of the over 3000 customer reviews at www.larue.com....

Why would anyone even bother buying this

Heck no. Mil spec geometry? Who’s writing this stuff? Millennials?

True. There’s nothing mil spec about a semi auto trigger group except the pin size and the quality of the springs.
