Not sure who owns Schrade, but almost positive this thing is made in China. Also, it's currently temporarily out of stock. Amazon is still taking orders and will not charge your card until it ships, so you can lock in the $10.99 price. No proof it's full tang, but the reviews I've seen say it is all the way back to the lanyard hole at the rear of the grip. 3Cr13 is fairly standard Chinese stainless steel for use in machetes. Not too hard, but you want toughness (not the same as hardness) in a hard use blade like that. I bought one and report back when it comes in.

What in earlier time was called a "falchion." Read product description & all reviews, & nowhere does anyone indicate if it is full tang; utterly pointless if not. Reviews generally favorable, but not buying w/o confirmation of full-tang construction; have been burnt before. BTW, is Schrade still a USA brand, or has it been sold off to China like Schwinn, etc? Don't expect made in USA at this price, but curious as to provenance [& likelihood of getting any satisfaction if product fails in use.]

The second and third words of the title are "full tang"...
