While I fully agree the NRA has failed us, be careful about what you wish for. If the NRA falls, the gun-control movement will claim victory and capitalize on the situation. We need to reform the NRA, not destroy it. Become a Lifemember or voting member if you can, and then don't give 'em a penny more. That way you can vote for board members who can reform it from within. And keep an eye on 'SaveThe2A' for a good breakdown on the NRA situation.

NRA is about making money for their execs and employees. They put a tiny fraction of what they take in to defend our rights. Would not wear an NRA hat if you paid me $100. The board is full of 2A traitors.

I thought this was a “don’t tread on me NRA” hat. That’d make more sense than a nra branded hat pretending to care about treading. Need more money for Wayne’s suits I guess.

Like it or not bitches the NRA is the only thing between you and Australia!

No, the NRA is why we are a few years from being like Australia. They take the most nutjob positions and run with it (scaring anyone away who is on the fence) or when a conversation / legislation comes up about guns they stand in the corner, fingers in ear, screaming "I CAN'T HEAR YOU" over and over again. If you do not participate in the process, you are removed from it. Just like Obama care, not a single GOP member went to the meeting(S) framing the bill then those same dudes flipped out their ideas were not heard.....dude, you didn't go. Oh, and please don't tell me about "secret meetings"....that were somehow live streamed on CSPAN and everyone stood outside the doors of in a weak attempt to make a point.

If the NRA wanted to act like a gun lobbying group then we could have gotten rid of these silly SBR laws and legalized suppressors for everyday people but they are too busy being a superpac for the GOP or supporting those really shaky 'stand your ground' cases that were really murder of unarmed citizens not committing crimes.

Typical liberal diatribe and as far as stand your ground laws...specifically which “shaky” cases are you talking about? Prior to the law being passed in Florida, someone could break into your home and if you shot them, you would be arrested and charged and a good chance of being convicted because the state would claim you could have retreated by cowering in a closet or running out of your home. There also was no assumption of innocence. The burden of proof was not on the prosecutors to prove you were not justified in the shooting. You had to prove you were justified.

Even if you eventually were to win, chances are the attorney fees would either bankrupt you or at a minimum deplete your savings and put you in a financial hole that could take years to climb out of you. Just because some gun owner makes a bad decision and tries to use the SYG law as a defense...doesn’t mean it is a bad law.

Note: I did not intentionally up vote my own post. I am using my I pad and was holding it with my left hand and my thumb happened to touch the screen right where the up vote is located. Gun deals should have a way of deleting inadvertent voting.

I belong to the NRA, because of my range requirement, and the GOA. I agree the NRA is not what it used to be, but like them or not, the NRA is the biggest ship in the fleet. It's $30 a year and if they stop just one anti-gun bill a year from being passed in any state, I consider it money well spent.

No, that would be our Second Amendment. The NRA is attempting to erode it.

We need gun control to fight gun control! Thanks NRA!

Actually they will be what causes us to become Australia. You have half of the "conversation" who refuses to be a part of the only topic of their own conversation. Like every other past time when the 2nd amendment has been eroded the NRA was burying their lobbying heads in the sand while legislation swept on through. You can't complain about being ignored when your only tactics are bullying high school shooting survivors or standing in the corner screaming "LA LA LA" when someone violates your safe space. Want proof? Yearly declining membership numbers and advances by real pro gun groups. The NRA hasn't been about firearms since they suggested Timothy McVeigh was justified.

That simply is not true. I am not an NRA member because I prefer sending money to my state and federal legislators that are pro 2nd amendment. But to make the claim they are not actively participating in the discussion is not to have a grasp on the facts. Every time the liberal gun grabbers in Florida have tried to enact gun control laws, the NRA was always here testifying before our state legislature and filing law suits on ones that passed which violate the 2nd amendment. The erosion of our 2nd amendment rights is not the fault of the NRA’s lack of action but rather because of liberal fucks like Bloomberg attacking and undermining it every chance they get.

No matter how much bullshit you sling...We all know which party introduces anti 2nd amendment bills with the goal of turning us into another Australia and it isn’t the NRA backed GOP. It is always the DNC that is leading the charge in an attempt to turn law abiding gun owners into criminals.

I feel like the GOA should have these instead. The nra can have it so long as there's a picture of Elmer Fudd worked in somehow.

The NRA did do some shady shit but its the only pro2A organization that lobbies congress. GOA is great but doesn't have the reach the NRA has
