I would not expect a dealer to have the Walmart version but a call to them would be a good idea before purchasing.
There is no "Walmart Version". The W stands for the walnut stain used on the furniture. The 336W is sold everywhere that Marlin is sold. It is also the only 336 that can come with a scope. http://www.marlinfirearms.com/Firearms/centerfire/336W.asp...
I would NOT buy this. It could be one of many variations of the 336, including the 336W that is at walmart for about $100 less.
