I bought one of these last year. The green fiber optic (GFO) front sight fell out twice, even with blue loctite. I ended up replacing it with a TLE version, which has been excellent. It seems that Kimber is kicking these and the LW models out the door without much QC.
I bought two of these: one in 10mm, one in 45. They are both fine entry level 1911's. The problem is the green fiber optic front sight (GFO). It fell out of both of mine. A little blue loctite fixed it, but fortunately I noticed before recoil launched the front sight into oblivion.
