SIG SAUER SP2340 40S&W 3.9" DAO TRADE IN Action: Semi-Automatic DAO • Finish: Blued • Barrel Length: 3.9" • Sights: fixed • Magazine(s): 1 - 12 Round • Grips: Polymer • Weight: 31 oz. • Overall Length: 7.4" USED - Good to Very Good Condition The SIG Pro was the first polymer-frame handgun from Sig Sauer and one of the first pistols to feature a built-in universal accessory rail and interchangeable grips. The overall design is slightly different from earlier Sig Sauer pistols such as P220 or P226, as there is no separate dis-assembly lever on the frame and the slide release lever looks quite different. These are incredibly reliable and well-made pistols. This particular example features a Double Action Only trigger system and exchangeable grip module. 1-12rd magazine included.

Anyone buy one yet?

I bought one recently. Had to replace firing pin retaining pin. Have yet to shoot it but I can say the slide rails and internals had no wear whatsoever. I'll update when I get some range time.

Took it out to the police range and ran several drills. Put around 500rds through the SIG. 1. I do not feel comfortable engaging a threat with this weapon. I found that once my heart rate was up that I could not effectively place rounds on target past 15 yards. I only hit the 50yd gong 1/12. I'm not placing all the blame on the gun since this was the 1st DAO trigger I've owned. However, in running my issued handgun through the same course, I realize why most PDs went with Glocks, in comparison to the 2340s. I read where recoil was bad for the 40. Recoil is very manageable but the gun does have (what feels to me) a higher degree of muzzle flip. Perhaps the high bore axis? I don't know. I have large hands and found myself accidentally activating the slide release on empty. My fault but still something to be aware of. The 2340 ate a diet of 180gr Winchester FMJ, around 20rds of Golden Saber, and 60 rounds of Hornady 160gr without issue. It's a good gun, built like a tank, reliable, but not for me. I could not engage targets in, what I consider to be, an acceptable hit ratio and overall time. I ended up trading it, with a little cash, for a P320.
