I have this rifle, not from this site I have had it for years. I had similar issues and hated the gun, however before i dumped it i swapped the optic and was keyholing at 100yds. fantastic rifle. i use it for varmint while driving on my hunting property. specifically i put a Leopold ar 2x4 scope on it. the scope it comes with is worthless junk.
Not sure why people would by a rifle made by Mossberg

Great shotguns.... But rifles.... Um no ...
Piece of shit! At $199 this isn't a good gun in 5.56. Maybe in .308 but stay away from the crappy rough bolt function that is every Mossberg in this small caliber. Seller sucks as well.
For that money you can get a nice Savage with a much better scope
