It's not legally a firearm so firearm rules do not apply. Kinda like how you do not have to wear seat belts on a four-wheeler.
nice price, they were $1k when they first came out!
can is cleaned by soaking just like a regular smokeless powder can, except with hot h2o instead of solvent
loads same except you have to put a drop tube into the can before you start loading to protect the baffles
I seem to remember an article reviewing this a while back that said the silencer made the gun especially cumbersome to load and required more frequent cleaning than a standard muzzleloader, all for about a 15db reduction.
MSRP $999 but sale priced at $450 and still tuning a profit for everyone involved. Think about that.
Then think about how much of your money they pocket when you spend a grand or more for an extruded can & baffle, minus the materials and labor required to manufacture the entire rifle packaged in this "deal"
I'd bet a testicle there isn't a $1000 suppressor made that cost more than $50 to manufacture. Ain't that some shit?
Agreed!!! I’m sure there is more behind the curtain in the suppressor business, but you’re right...at the end of the day, even with skilled labor(machinist) costs, I bet it doesn’t cost hardly anything to produce a suppressor. I want one, but I refuse to pay the tax stamp, along with the insane markup on the can itself.
Most likely a thing of happen-chance where they made too many suppressed muzzleloaders. Instead of making a 75% profit, now they just make a 50% profit. Aint that a "deal".
how legit is the "no tax stamp" seems unreal.
anyone with info on this for TX residents?
