mine ate everything i fed it without a single hiccup, but i hated the trigger so ultimately i had to sell it. great little gun tho. it just wasn't for me.

I bought one of these and it is a great gun. Accurate and reliable. I owned a Sigma years ago and this is so much better in regards to the trigger. Being a revolver fan, I would say the SD9's trigger is like a light double action revolver trigger but with only a third the pull distance. It is very positive in its action. The SD9 is a reliable pistol at a great price.

I really like the smith & Wesson SD 9 VE standard capacity 9mm for the price, I bought a sccy 9mm for 336.00 bucks, don't get me wrong its a dang good self defense handgun, but at the time I wanted a hand gun and now i'm thinking about being a reserve police officer and you cant carry a sccy. It just don't meet the standards.

If you want striker-fired, solid cycling, on the less expensive side, and American made....not sure it comes any better than this. I think the recent markdowns on some of the Turkish guns in the $300 range are going to give people something to think about, if you want that CZ/Desert Eagle/Walther styling. I saw one of these things (in what looked like pretty good condition) sell just a few days ago on GunBroker for about $240.

Best deal on a capable, solid performing pistol anywhere.

Add an Apex trigger kit and XS big dot front sight and you got yourself a nice home defense pistol for less than $500, but shop around because these can be bought at Academy sports for the same price; save yourself shipping and FFL transfer fees.
