I bought two and both were sent to me already opened. Do any of you know if Blade HQ has to open them to put in the auto spring or why do they have the seals broken on the boxes? I bought one for a gift so wasnt too stoked about getting an open box. Requested new box from Blade HQ and they replied that they were all already opened. No further explanation. Have purchased from Blade HQ a half dozen times for both cheap and premium blades. They have always been dependable. Just curious about why the autos come opened from Boker.

BladeHQ gets the knives from the manufacturer without the auto-open spring, so they open the box, install the spring, and ship it out to the customer. When I bought mine several years ago, that was stated in the online ad to prevent confusion.

If you don't care or aren't picky about the color, they have the all black for $29.99 + $2.99 for s&h.

Thanks for the heads up.. Looks like they only have the mini's for the 29.99 now.. I ended up getting the same 3.5 inch model I bought for 60 almost a decade ago for 40.. Good deal and I'm retiring my old knife to the glove box.

I actually bought this knife in all black about 8 years ago as an every day work knife... I actually use and still have it, it's beat to crap but is solid... Has never failed me. Just sharpen it every once in a blue...I bought it for about 60 shipped back then... Not sure how long this finish will last.. Most of the black on my blade is gone... Very good knife for the money... Just my 2 cents.
