Rock Island is 100% no frills quality.
NGOS is 100% shills.
Id just buy a Taurus mod 85. If ur looking for a 38 special. Always on sale and way better quality in my opinion
Get a 4 in Windicator in 357 you can thank me later.
First off the membership is BS they can shove it. I know it's cheap but who the hell wants a 4" 38 special. No one that why this pointless gun is 188 bucks. Honestly, don't worry about quality. Armscor makes great stuff.
How did you get a shipment from FWT in a week?
Somehow one time I ordered a firearm from NGOA without actually paying for a membership. Then the next day when I went to track it, it said I need to call customer service because my account is invalid. I talk to them on the phone and they said I'm not a member and they wanted a bunch of money I said nevermind I don't want this anymore I want to cancel. So they said they cancel the order and they didn't even need to cancel it because since I'm not a member it would never go out. So I bought the gun at Four Winds technology instead. A week later at the FFL I get two identical guns. Ngoa sent me the damn gun anyway even though I was not a member and told him I didn't want to be a member after they promised me my order could not ship so it was a big giant hassle. They are assholes.
Man, this thing reminds me of cheap pump shotguns for like $180. Why? The price difference between a cheap no name pump shotgun and a mossberg 590 is like $150. Yeah, it’s almost double the price, but it’s also $150 more.. buy a police trade in s&w
Thank you for the heads up on this store. I won't be using them after the helpful links provided for their D BBB rating.
Thanks!
Not to mention the 'marriage' fee of $20 a month?!!! You need to buy a lot of ammo and guns for that to work out. I just bought ammo from Buds today. This site charges $22.99 a box and I only paid $23.08 a box. A whole $.09 more a box! But with taxes, I would actually pay an extra $11.00 more! And the Wolf ammo I bought at Buds wasn't even offered on this site. BTW...here are their terms...$96 Enrollment, then just $19.95/month. Man...that really sucks. No wonder their BBB score sucks.
Honestly just shop at pawn shops or gun store 4 used guns that are lot better this thing.
has anyone that frequents this site ever done business with this outfit, or even clicked on the link on one of those postings, I did and smells like a bad scam, try it, google ngoa, tell me what you come up with
Assuming these guy are ILMG Inc, they have a D+ on the BBB website. Not good.
$187 for a .38 revolver ?? Can’t beat this deal !!!
According to Rock Island, it can handle "occasional" use of +P ammo - which means to me that it's OK to fill all 6 cylinders with +P for SD purposes and use standard .38spl for target practice.
HOWEVER, since there are many brands and ammo types from which to choose, you would be surprised if you compared the power output of P to +P in a number of them because there is not that big of a difference. In fact, the most powerful .38SPL round that I found was a 158 grain LRN (lead round nose) made by Sellier & Bellot which put out 349 ft. lbs of muzzle energy - far above the average for standard velocity solid nose bullets @ 260 ft. lbs.
The average muzzle energy for +P hollow points is around 285 ft. lbs. so I don't see that extra 25 ft. lbs of energy as being a big deal..
"occasional" use of +P ammo
Not that confidence inspiring. This all steel gun must be made of some old pot-metal. I'd pass...
No it’s not, but it’s a hella of a gun
Is this what they call a “Saturday night special”?
Sat night special refers to the ring of fire companies. Lorcin. Jennings. And a few others which i have forgotten thier names. But they sold a little pocket pistol chambered in 22. And 25 auto that could fit in palm of your hand. With right ammo they work but quality isnt all that great
Usually it was a small pocket pistol. Like the .25 ACP, Deringer, NAA or anything with a 2 inch barrel or less.
Only if you lop 2" off of the barrel and replace the grip with electrical tape...and it's actually Saturday night.
Last time I saw a pistol like this was either on Barney Miller or Dragnet.
Anyone saying nobody wants a 4” .38 spl. is a fool. This is a cheap, reliable revolver. Revolvers are some of the best options out there for novice shooters and are an excellent platform to polish your skills on.
