The Moriarti Armaments AR-15 .224 Valkyrie 18″ stainless steel straight fluted upper assembly comes complete with a MATCH GRADEStainless Steel 416R Barrel, low profile Steel .750 Gas Block with Nitride Finish and a Stainless Steel Mid Length Gas tube. Upper is finished off with a Free Float of your choice, Ultra Slim Line Keymod, MLOK Handguard or Quadrail with a full linepicatinny top rail.
Barrel - 18" 416R stainless steel hbar contour barrel. Straight fluted for reduced weight. Created for long range target shooters and hunters alike. Hardened to 26-32 rc and stress releived. Chambered in .224 Valkyrie, 1-7 rh twist. Button rifled, air gauged, 11-degree crowned for enhanced accuracy. .750 under gas block. 1/2-28 threaded, completed with stainless steel muzzle brake and crush washer. M4 feedramps. Handguards - 15" free floating quad rail. Made from aircraft quality aluminum and black hardcoat anodized. Also available in keymod or mlok option (please choose on top of page).
A3 flat top upper reciever - made from certified 7075-T6 aluminum forgings. Black hardcoat anodized to gov. specs. Forward assist and dust cover installed. M4 feedramps.
Gas system - low profile steel .750 gas block, black hardcoat anodized. Mid length gas tube.

You've got 18" of barrel length for a long range shooter and you go with a MID LENGTH gas system? Most .224's are Rifle length PLUS 2" or Rifle length at a minimum. Stop treating the .224 like a carbine round, it's NOT.
